Morwenna’s POV
The room felt too small.
Not because it was actually small… but because my thoughts would not stay still.
They pressed against my mind from every side, growing louder, heavier, harder to ignore.
I stood near the window, my arms folded tightly across my chest, staring out into the quiet night.
The woods below looked calm as I could hear the sounds of different creatures of the night from a distance.
It looked peaceful.
But I knew better.
Peace like this never lasted.
Not when things had already begun to break.
I turned away from the window and began pacing across the room.
Back and forth.
Back and forth.
The wooden floor creaked softly beneath my feet, the only sound filling the space.
Everything had changed.
And it happened so fast.
Dilena now knew.
