“What the f**k?” Rayan’s curse matched my thoughts exactly.
Gabriel stumbled further into my arms. The actions dragged me out of my shock.
“Gabriel,” I said, not sure what exactly I wanted to say after that. His bloodshot eyes slowly dragged up to me. He looked at me like he’d just realized I was in the room.
“Dane. Daka. What- what are you doing here?” he said. My heart gave a jolt at hearing him say my name. But the too-calm tone of his voice alarmed me. Was he in shock? What in the world had happened here?
“Aren’t you supposed to be an alpha? Why the hell are you going into heat?” Rayan demanded.
I had about a million questions but there was no time for this. We had to get out of here.
“Questions later,” I said, “Escape now.”
I grabbed Gabriel and dragged him out of the room away
