The first real taste of community came unexpectedly, in the form of a blizzard. A ferocious whiteout descended upon the town, trapping everyone inside for three days. Power lines snapped, plunging the town into darkness, and the roads became impassable, blanketed in a thick layer of snow. Initially, a wave of quiet panic rippled through the small community, but it quickly gave way to a sense of shared purpose. Neighbors helped neighbors, sharing food, supplies, and warmth.
