Suddenly, everything made sense. The sound of water, the dangerous wolf. It was a premonition of what would happen in the Camp-Out!
I quickly grabbed the kids and pulled them behind and around me, standing protectively over them. I just have to hold out until backup arrives.
Very quickly, we were surrounded by rogues, snapping and baring their teeth at us and scaring the pups. I could hear them screaming and whimpering as they buried their faces in my body.
“How inconvenient.”
My head whipped to the side and I saw the so-called Mr. Dalton walking towards us. Something about him felt amiss, I hadn't noticed it throughout the first day of the Camp-Out but now, as he stood amid the rogues, glaring at me with a smile, while his gaze slightly moved to stare at the children,
