LYRA’S POV
It all happened in a flash. One moment the hunter was standing afar from us, the next he was standing in front of Mirai. My eyes went wide in shock and I was already flinching back. Mirai, however, didn’t have time to move back and the hunter’s sword came swinging at her from the side.
“Mirai!” I screamed out.
Mirai managed to block the blow with her daggers but it still threw her to the sight with devastating force – causing her to destroy a handful of trees that stood in the way of her crash.
“Mirai!” I moved to run over to her but the hunter was suddenly in my face. I scrambled back a little before I attacked him with my clenched fits. Well, tried to anyways. Her grabbed my arm and with a twist of his hand he broke my arm into two. “Argh!” I let out a blood curdling scree
