MIRAI’S POV
The moment I and my Lady sighted the large net making its way down towards us, we both jumped off our horses – the animals whining in alarm as the nets fell on them, both running around and trying to escape. My Lady and I landed on our feet and skidded to a stop – battle ready. I immediately drew my short swords, the metals singing as I removed them from their sheaths – welding both weapons in my hands.
“My Lady, please stand behind me and let me deal with this.” I said, my eyes narrowed in concentration.
