LYRA’S POV
Everyone’s attention turned to the guard that had appeared behind us.
“I asked you—”
“We were just leaving.” Mirai replied coldly, before turning around and walking off with us behind her.
“Hey! What the hell happened here?!” We heard the guard yell as we walked away, but neither of us stopped…at least not until we were out of sight.
“Amethyst,” I called out softly, my fingers raising her chin up so that she could look at me. I gasped when I saw the palm print on her cheek.
“Those sneaky bitches. I should have given her more than a punch.” Mirai scowled, attempting to go back to there but Amethyst grabbed her wrist.
“No, don't go back. You already sent her to her ancestors with just one punch.”
“Temporarily.” Mirai certainly didn't like that.
