Amethyst was laid to rest the next day, the entire pack went into mourning, suspending their duties for a day as they grieved the death of their beloved Beta Female, even though she was the first female to have held that title for such a short period of time.
Kael looked over the files and documents that had almost doubled in size during his absence. He was almost grateful for it as it gave him something to think about.
Just as his gaze dashed across the document in his hands, a knock sounded on his door. His head snapped up as he beckoned on whoever was there to come in.
