LYRA’S POV At first, I was surrounded by peaceful darkness, there was no noise, no tension, no fear..just uninterrupted peace. My lips stretched into a smile as I turned to bury myself deeper into this abyss, but suddenly a loud piercing scream came out of nowhere. My ears felt like they would burst and every attempt to cover my ears remained futile as my hands refused to move. I tried and tried, but my entire body was immobile. Hadn't I just moved a second ago?
