It had been a long week, and Samantha was looking forward to unwinding with her friends on Friday night. They had plans to meet at a new bar downtown, and Samantha was excited to let loose and have some fun.
As she was getting ready to leave the office, Alexander called her into his office.
"Samantha, I need to see you for a minute," he said, his voice low and serious.
Samantha felt a flutter in her chest as she walked into his office. She had no idea what he wanted to see her about.
"I hope you're not working too hard," Alexander said, his eyes scanning her face. "You deserve a night out."
Samantha smiled, feeling a sense of surprise. "I'm actually meeting some friends tonight," she said.
Alexander raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Where are you going?"
Samantha hesitated for a moment before answering. "We're meeting at a new bar downtown."
Alexander nodded thoughtfully. "I know the one. I've been meaning to check it out."
Samantha felt a spark of surprise. She hadn't expected Alexander to be interested in the same things as her.
"Maybe I'll see you there," Alexander said, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Samantha felt a flutter in her chest as she left Alexander's office. She couldn't believe that he might actually show up at the bar tonight.
As she met up with her friends and they spent the evening laughing and dancing, Samantha couldn't help but wonder if Alexander would really show up.
And then, just as they were getting ready to leave, Samantha saw him. Alexander was standing across the room, his eyes locked on hers.
Samantha felt a rush of excitement as Alexander made his way over to their table. He was even more handsome than she had remembered, and she couldn't help but feel a little intimidated.
"Mind if I join you?" Alexander asked, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Samantha's friends exchanged a look, and then one of them nodded. "Not at all," she said.
As Alexander sat down, Samantha felt a sense of excitement. She had no idea what the rest of the night would bring, but she was eager to find out.
Over the next few hours, Alexander fit in seamlessly with Samantha's friends. They laughed and joked together, and Samantha found herself feeling more and more at ease.
As the night wore on, Samantha found herself stealing glances at Alexander. She couldn't believe how much fun she was having, and how much she enjoyed his company.
As they said their goodbyes and left the bar, Samantha felt a sense of disappointment. She didn't want the night to end.
But as they walked out into the cool night air, Alexander turned to her and smiled. "Would you like to grab breakfast with me tomorrow?" he asked.
Samantha's heart skipped a beat as she nodded. "I'd love to," she said.
As they exchanged numbers and said their goodbyes, Samantha couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She had no idea what the future held, but she was eager to find out.
