Ethan disappears into the safe house, and I can still hear him laughing about finding us in a compromising position. I already hate him, and I don't even know him.
I get to my feet and wrap my arms around myself. Giving the doctor space to look over Kael. Ethan returns with an oversized shirt and waves it in front of my face, teasing me. I reach for it, and he pulls it back, taunting me. A growl rumbles in my throat, and he holds it back out for me.
