I continued walking and exited the mansion. The drive back home was long and silent. My mind was conflicted, unsure whether to believe my father's words or follow my intuition
After a while, I finally reached Lyra's apartment. The lights were on, I could tell she was waiting for me in the living.
My guess was right when I pushed the door open and saw her sitting and glaring at the doorway. “Luca, you are back. What happened?” She eagerly asked.
