Lyra's POV Eleanor waved at my mother as we stepped out of her home. “ I'll be back tomorrow, Grandma. Don't miss me too much.” My mother smiled as she waved back, I pulled her to the roadside as I flagged down a taxi. We both hopped in and was taken home. The streetlights emerged down my street as usual, I was back to the only thing I had to my name. The cab slowed down right in front of my house as I instructed. I paid and stepped out with Eleanor. My eyes drifted to the window I rented out to Luca, The light was left on. “Was that on when we left?” I asked myself. “No” Eleanor blurted.
