"Hello?" a soft voice creaked on the other side of the line.
Oops. She had totally woken him up. The thought that he was asleep hadn't even crossed her mind.
"Hey, it's me," she said, as if he would know who was calling him at this hour. What hour exactly?
"Johnson?" Cooper suddenly sounded very alert and awake.
Oh. So he did know it was her. Somehow, that made the corners of her mouth curl into a small smile.
"Hey Coop, so, how have you been?" she tried to make small talk. It wasn't as if she could actually tell him about the mess she was in.
"Worried sick about you. Where are you?" he asked, sounding kind of... angry.
"You were?"
The question blurted out just like that.
"What? Yes, of course! What are you thinking? Where are you? Are you alright?"
Indiana blinked a few times.
