Chapter 3

728 Words
I spent the rest of that night attempting to ignore Gabriel and focus my affections on Dominic. We had a mutual understanding that we would not be a couple forever, Fae always hoped they would find their twin-flame and Were's would hopefully find their mates. Neither of us were selfish enough to deny the other the true happiness that finding one or the other of those couplings would bring. But we were an item for that moment in time, until then. We left the party around 3am after a sparing session between Molly and I turned serious. I ended up throwing her fully clothed into the pool, followed in after her and proceeded to hold her underwater until Gabriel and Dominic dove in and pulled us apart. That b***h really knew how to rub me the wrong way. One day she would push someone to far and it could very well be me. I didn't mind sparing with the wolf but she really knew how to push my buttons. When we got back to his apartment, a note from Dominic's father was jammed in the doorframe of his apartment. Simply stating they "needed to talk" with a date and address written on it. Throwing the letter aside Dominic closed the door and hungrily turned his deep brown eyes on me. "Your wearing far too many clothes. I love watching you get all riled up. f*****g makes my c**k hard every time baby," he exclaimed as he reached for me. Spinning light footed away from him I stared him down. "Did you sneak off with Molly earlier?" I asked seriously, crossing my arms and c*****g my hip to the side. "What? No. Why would you think that? Did she say something to you? Is that why you two got into it?" Dominic blurted out rather quickly. He was lying. I could tell, he was one of the worst liars I knew. "Don't lie to me Dom you know I can tell when your lying!" I raised my voice frustrated with him. "If you want to sleep with the tramp then go for it but don't make a fool out of me in the process. It won't end well." Running a hand through his hair, he walked over to the living room chair and sat down. Taking a deep sigh. Oh, he had lied. He had lied big time. "Fine. I snuck off after her but I didn't sleep with her. She smelled different than she usually does. My wolf was curious and spent half the night tracking her. When I asked her what had changed and why she smelled different, things got a little more out of hand then I intended." Dominic admitted. "Is she your mate? Is that why this new smell caught your wolf's interest?" I asked calmly. Praying I was wrong. I wanted him to find his mate but not in Molly. She would make his life hell. "No. She is most definitely not my mate babe." He rose from his seat and walked toward me, hands extended in front of him in a show of peace as he reached for me. He stopped in front of me placing his hands on my arms and looking deep into my eyes. "You haven't lost me babe. We argued that's all. I promise you that." Searching his eyes for any hint of further lies, there were none. Sighing I said ""Ok, I believe you. But did you find anything further out?" "No. She refused to tell me why, she just laughed and made stupid comments about how we would all find out sooner or later." he replied with a shake of his head. His black curls falling around his face to make a frame. I took the opportunity to step forward into his arms and stretched up to kiss his gorgeous full lips. Dominic really was unbelievably handsome, a born Alpha it was only a matter of time before he would take his place in his clan. A day I didn't look forward too, when he took his place as Alpha any relationship we had would be forfeit. A Fae could never be a clan Luna. And every Alpha needed a Luna to lead beside them and produce heirs. As much as I loved this man, I knew deep in my gut he was never meant for me.
