Zeke slammed the door to the grand manor, it had taken him most of the day to get back to the fortress. His temper had not subsided one bit. If anything, it had amplified. Ty'an was back and defiant as ever, even more beautiful than he had remembered. It was time to get serious about moving his plans forward.
"Veikko!" he bellowed down the hall. His younger brother wouldn't be far. Zeke continued to his office and poured himself a glass of whiskey from the decanter on his desk.
Within minutes, Veikko entered the office. Taller than Zeke, the younger brother had always been the more attractive of the two men. If Zeke wasn't the older brother and therefore the senior in their faction, he would have let that fact bother him. But in everything but looks, he had the upper hand. Ty'an and Veikko had been infatuated with each other as teenagers before she had disappeared. He had put a stop to that as soon as he had discovered it. Veikko would never defy him, no matter how pretty the girl was.
Veikko was tall even by Fae standards at 6'7" with a mess of dark brown locks and, untraditional scruffiness about him. He had a maraud of tattoos covering both arms and most of his body from years of magically advancement and his other numerous talents. Piercing blue eyes and earrings of bright silver only accentuated the bad boy vibe that he gave off. He could move his way in and out of any circle and gaunder information simply by paying his affections amongst the ladies regardless of the species. Loose lips were ever present when his brother was involved. He was Zekes' closest ally and his best kept weapon all in one.
"Ty'an has returned." he said pinning his brother with his gaze over the brim of his glass. He proceeded to take a seat in his oversized throne-like desk chair. "I need you to retrieve her. Bring her back here so we can get things in order with the Dark Court, by whatever means necessary. Gag her, drag her, seduce her I don't care at this point. I'm tired of waiting and now that she has reappeared alive and well she is the last piece of the puzzle."
Viekko merely blinked at his brother for a moment, he was obviously deciding if this was some sort of joke or if Zeke was serious.
"I'm not joking. She is back, alive, in one piece and with full access to those amazing powers that I need of hers." he said with an sly grin. "I want her back here, she always fancied you. I don't give a f**k who beds her first, she isn't a virgin any longer based on the company she is keeping, so it doesn't matter. Bring her back here."
"What do you mean judging by the company she is keeping?" Viekko snarled, obviously still jealous of any man who gained Ty'ans affections.
"Well when I discovered her in the woods she was accompanied by a very ill-tempered Alpha Wereshifter. If I had to guess it was the Ghost Gabriel himself based on the descriptions I have heard of the man." he swirled the remainder of the whiskey in his tumbler before downing it in a single gulp, "I do wonder if our dear Ty'an knows that he is single handedly responsible for her parents death."
Viekko had moved to the decanter and poured himself a bout of whiskey as well. One he swiftly gulped down. Murmering, "I wonder." as he poured himself another.
"You seem rather ill tempered about our dear Princess' return brother. Why I wonder? She can't possibly hold that dark heart of yours in her hands after all this time." Zeke knew very well that was exactly what had his brother so perturbed, but the chance to goad him at what could only be temporarily his was too much to pass up. Zeke would be the Queen consort after all. Not Viekko.
Gulping down the second tumbler of whiskey Viekko turned it top down and slammed it on the desk. Glaring at his older brother.
"Yes Zeke, she does. You know she does. She always has and always will. I have no great desire to see my Twin Flame married off to my brother in a power game. But I don't have much of a choice, do I now." he growled, his eyes swirling black and silver with the smallest amounts of power. There it was the shadow that they both possessed. How Ty'an had ever missed that Viekko was her Twin Flame Zeke had never understood. Perhaps she had just been too young at the time. He let out a sardonic laugh at his brothers anger.
"Well dear brother. Your right you don't have a choice. At least I'm giving you the opportunity to bring her back yourself on your own terms. But you will bring her back to me and I will get what I want in the end. Once I have wed her and have the Queen Consort position you can do what you want with your Twin Flame once again. I will have the power and position that I desire and it truly will make no difference at that point."
Viekko studied his brother a moment longer. He needed to find a way out of this for both him and Ty'an, he wouldn't give her up to Zeke. But he couldn't let his brother know that just yet.
"Fine. I'll bring her back. But no interference from you or your guard. No trackers, no nothing." he demanded before spinning on his heel and storming out the door. He didn't make it out the door before hearing Zeke's last hanging words.
"Of course not, Brother. You know what happens to those who double cross me. You wouldn't risk your precious Princess now would you."
