Chapter 11

1142 Words
“Zeke,” Ty’an hissed out turning to face the man who would be her husband if the Dark Fae had their way. She moved her right hand slowly to the hilt of her dagger where it was tucked in it’s sheath at her side. “How did you find me so fast?” Slowly, deliberately antagonizing her Zeke walked around the cabin purposely touching each item in it. Stopping at the table where Gabriel had previously sat, he looked up at her his changing from green to black and he tasted the surface with his power. “Your not alone, princess. Who is the were that was here? A companion, more perhaps?” Zeke’s eyes returned to their odd green color as he stared at her with animosity. “You always did attract odd protectors of sorts. Too bad they all die in their pursuits. Does he know who and what you are?” he moved away from the table calling green fire to his hand and rolling it over his fingers as he worked his way closer to where she stood, “I knew where you were as soon as you walked out of the Fae queens mansion with your powers intact. It just took me a bit to get here from across the continent.” He stopped in front of her watching the green fire roll over his knuckles still. She knew he was toying with her. He got a thrill out of it, he would try to push her buttons for self pleasure. He got off on it. Sick bastard. Just like he had got off on pushing her to the end of her control and watching those closest to her die. “What do you want Zeke?” she growled out at him, holding her head high. Standing her ground, hand on her dagger hilt. She knew his game, if she called her power he would know and he would provoke her to use it until this cabin and everything around it was just a baren black mark on the ground. “You found me, now what do you want? I thought you would have given up your pursuit and moved on by now. It has been 8 years after all.” “Hmm that it has, a very frustrating 8 years at that,” he closed his hand, the fire went out with a low pop. Turning his head c**k eyed to gaze lustfully at her, he continued “you know what I want. I want you to stop f*****g around and take your place as the Queen of this court and make me your King. I want the power of that thrown and your the only way I can get it. Now, the question is are you coming back with me willingly or not?” She opened her mouth to respond but it wasn’t her voice that spoke first. “I don’t know who you are or where you think she’s going with you, but her and I have business to conclude. So she isn’t going f**k all anywhere with you.” Gabriel’s strong voice rang out. Ty’an and Zeke had been so preoccupied watching each other to notice him slink into the Cabin. He was perched on the table, one leg stretched before him and the other bent with his foot resting on the bench, right arm slung over his bent leg he was spinning a iron dagger in his left. The sight of the iron dagger in his grip made her wonder if he had had it on him the entire time or if he had disappeared to retrieve it. He could kill either Zeke or her in seconds with that dagger, iron to the heart was always fatal for a Fae. “Bloody hell, you have no idea who you have wrapped yourself up with this time Ty’an,” Zeke said with a haughty laugh, turning away from her to face Gabriel casually. “f*****g wraith of death. This were is responsible for more Fae deaths than any other single hunter on record.” the last part was said with a hiss between elongated teeth, Zeke's features changing from casual to pure anger. “My reputation proceeds me I see,” Gabriel said with a that sardonic grin that he did, accentuating the scar on his face. “You seem oddly familiar asshole, have I hunted you before?” he kept his eyes on Zeke but he stood and worked his way around to stand in front of her as a shield of sorts. “No!” She saw both men coil to spring, before either could make an action she pushed Gabriel to the side and threw her hands forward pushing as much power as she could muster that quickly at Zeke. Sending both men flying in different directions. “What the hell?!” Gabriel roared at her as he gathered himself unceremoniously off the ground. Rushing to the door where Zeke had disappeared. “Why did you do that?” anger marred his handsome features rounding on her as she followed him to the doorway, “you just let him get away. You realize that was a Dark Fae! A very powerful one! What the f**k Ty’an?!” “I couldn’t let you kill him! Not yet, I need information from him! Yes, he is Dark Fae and powerful, like me.” the statement was out before she could stop it. Her had flew to her mouth, staring at Gabriel in shock. s**t. s**t. s**t. His eyes glowed gold as his wolf raged for control, at her or at Zeke getting away she didn’t know. She backed away from him slowly, giving him room to shift and her room to counter strike if he attacked her again. “So you admit your Dark Fae,” his voice was a straight growl, “how have you fooled Dominic all this time? He is as much a trained hunter as I am.” Angry didn’t even cover the emotion on his face at that moment. She shivered, the predatory vibe rolling off of him in waves was utterly sexy to her. She had a deathwish, she was sure of it. “Yes. I am Dark Fae, but not your normal Dark Fae. I am the last of the Royal line of the Dark Court.” she slowly stepped back into his space. Looking up at him examining him for a moment before putting a hand over his heart and feeling its beautiful beat. “Excuse me, your what now?” he growled at her less angry then before, the emotion on his face had changed to one of confusion. “I have been in hiding for the last 8 years. I am Princess Ty’an Emrosa, heir to the Dark Court throne.”
