Ty'an was feeling the strain of her power drain immediately after the confrontation with Zeke, but she had hid it effectively from Gabriel while they had talked for hours. She waited until darkness fell to attempt to sneak away from the cabin, her cravings reaching an unbearable point. She had exerted too much energy fighting with first Gabriel and then Zeke over the last 24 hours.
Power always comes with a price. If she didn't find a Fae or Were to feed off soon she was going to be pushing a dangerous line. Ravenous was never a good look for her, she would feed off of any Fae or Were within a 5 mile radius willing or not. Gabriel finally left to go game hunting and she figured now was as good of an opportunity as ever to attempt to hunt her own meal.
The last thing she wanted was to be locked in a cabin with a hunter, even one who claimed she was his mate, though she had serious doubts about that, while she was having hunger pains. If she attacked Gabriel, he wouldn't be able to defend himself, but that protection did not go both ways. She was already responsible for her parents' deaths. She didn't want his on her hands as well.
Knowing it would make her the most endearing and keep her pray unsuspecting, she hopped on Silver and turned him down a narrow deer path into the forest. Hoping she was headed in the opposite direction of Gabriel. Silver never balked at her power or her predatory presence when her cravings were in full swing. As her familiar, Silver was safe from both of her dangerous elements. He had been with her since she was 14 and would live as long as she did.
They wandered through the woods looking for any signs of prey. They passed within 50 yards of a cabin occupied by humans at one point. There would be no sustenance for her there. She required Shifter or Fae blood specifically. She had purposely hidden deep within the woods to avoid drawing attention to herself. Which hadn't quite worked, seeing how both Gabriel and Zeke had tracked her to her temporary sanctuary.
Finally, she passed upon a creek where a young shifter was crouched washing his forearms. She let a subtle power flow around her that would draw the young man's attention to her. Approaching quietly but obviously, she halted and dismounted. Dramatically leaning hard against the horse's shoulder and letting out a gasp, making a show of pretending to partially fall. The unsuspecting Were rushed to her side, putting his hands on her waist to stabilize her.
"Miss, are you alright?" he's voice was concerned and innocent. The man was probably just on the cusp of 20 perhaps. Turning slowly to face him, she put on her best show of being just as innocent.
"Oh my thank you, I am now," she purred. Reaching a hand up to cup the side of his face, she stared deeply into his eyes to keep him from startling. She knew that he would not make a sound now that she had him in a trance. Her canines elongated and her mouth salivated in anticipation. She reached a hand up in his tawny curls, grabbing a handful between her fingers.
Softly she leaned in and kissed his lips before trailing her down his cheek to his neck. Licking over the artery there, she could feel his blood coursing just beneath the skin. Softly she bit deep and took what she needed so badly. A low moan was the only response the Were gave in return.
She was nearly finished when she heard a throaty growl to her left. Tearing her mouth from the young man's throat, she looked to see Gabriel standing there glaring at her. His eyes still wolf, he had obviously just shifted. She looked back to the young man she still held by his hair.
"You will remember nothing of this and return to your campsite. If your companions ask you lost your way by the creek." she released him with a gently push. Once she was sure he would do as she had instructed, she turned back to face Gabriel's unapproving glare. "What exactly are you doing here?! I thought you were out hunting."
"What am I doing?! The better question is what are you doing?!" he stormed forward, getting in her face as he growled the words at her. Silver snorted and shied sideways at his quick advancement.
"Coward," she hissed at her familiar before addressing the angry wolf once again. "I am doing what I must. I told you earlier I require Fae or Were blood to survive. I don't expect you to approve of it but you will not interfere, wolf."
"I HEARD you say that, but I did not expect my MATE to be so disrespectful as to take such sustenance from others." Gabriel seethed.
"That's what your so upset about?! That I went hunting on my own for sustenance. That I didn't simply spring upon you and take what I needed. Are you serious? I have not had my powers in years. I was not in control then and i'm still not sure i'm in control now of my feeding. But you want me to risk you to my hunger? Are you daft?!"
"It is you who is daft woman! I am your MATE. You will respect that and you will take what you need from me and me alone." he reached for her then, grabbing her hair roughly, he kissed her with a passion she had never experienced. Frustration, need, desire, anger were all mixed into that kiss. He pulled away, jerking her hair again before moving down to nip at her neck.
She hissed at him in both frustration at his rough treatment and desire as his teeth grazed the sensitive spot of her neck. Reaching up she pushed against his chest hard, pulsing power through her hands. Knocking him flat on his back on the ground. Moving with predatory speed, she straddled him, leaning down and biting deep into his neck. He growled and rolled his hips beneath her.
He had interrupted her feeding and then lit a passionate fire in her. Had pushed her where she shouldn't have been pushed. She was no longer in control. His blood was like a drug and she wanted another pull. She could feel his hands on her hips grinding her against him. It was distracting yet pleasureful all at once. After just a few more moments, he reached his hand back up into her hair and grabbed a handful, pulling her gently.
"Ty'an that's enough. If you don't stop I am not responsible for taking you right here on a bed of leaves next to a creek for anyone to stumble upon," his steady voice broke through her hazed mind. She let go of his neck and slowly sat up, she stumbled her way to her feet. Feeling high and satisfied, she looked up to the sky, opening her arms out to the sides and baring her chest toward the sky spinning dizzily.
Gabriel laughed huskily while reaching for her to pull her into his arms, "ahhh mate of mine you were sent by mother moon to torment me for all my dark deeds."
