Chapter 20

Prom Night

I'm laying on my bed and hugging my Barney doll. Tonight it's a prom night and I decided that I wont go and I just want to stay here until the morning comes. I even wearing my beloved pajama.

"Finn, you want to go to the prom?" I raise my eyebrows as Finn went out from the wardrobe and wearing his black suit.

"Quinn cant stop calling me and I guess I have to go." Finn sighs.

"And you want to leave me alone here?" I raise my eyebrows.

"E, we can go together and I bet Sam must be there and waiting for you." Finn says to me.

"Or he must be dancing with Mercedes right now." I simply said and turn my body.

"Come on. Is this what big sister look like? This is our last prom in high school and dont blow it." Finn sit down on the edge of my bed.

"I planned everything. I mean, all those prom dress and everything. But everything ruinned. I just wanna have fun and forget about those prom stuff."

"Or you want me to drive you to that Anti-Prom party?" Finn asks me.

"Then I will get isolate in a room with your annoying fiancé and my step-brother also with his boyfriend and my ex-boyfriend?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I'll be there okay. After all my obligation finish. Come on, E. I dont want to see you look like a mess girl like this."

"I'm a mess." I simply said.

"No, you're not. Who can get a scholarship from Juilliard? You. You can made the whole teachers get panic attack when you got A- on your exams. You're beautiful, you're the head cheerleader, you're popular, you got everything include me. You are the luckiest girl in this world and I wont left the half of me behind because you are half of me. Dont start to be depressed like those days. You know what? when those days happened I cant stop blame myself. Because I dont even know how to make yourself feel better. I love you more than I love anyone else in this world even Rachel or mom." Finn says to me and about to walk off.

"Finn..." I stop him and sit up on my bed.

Finn just stop his way and turn around at me. "What?"

"I need a ride to that Anti-Prom party." I said to Finn. "I'm sorry for that. Seriously, if you werent my brother, we might be already make out now." I giggle.

"You want to make out with me? But I'm not in a good mood to have make out now." Finn chuckles. "Go get change now." Finn says to me.

"I dont need to. Because I will go to the Anti-Prom party." I simply said to Finn.

"Alright, it's up to you. Dont worry, I'll be there." Finn nodded then went out from our room.

I take my bag of potato chips and holding my big barney doll then went out from my room.

I'm still wearing my pajama, my house sandals, and I let my hair down. I look around but I dont see my parents around. So I walk downstairs then get into Finn's car.

I enter the passenger seat as Finn already waiting for me.

"You really look like a girl who want to have sleeping party." Finn says and start driving.

"At least I can delete that 'prom' words." I simply said.

"If I meet Sam on the prom, I will talk to him and tell him everything especially that my sister wont cheat." Finn says.

"You dont need to, Finn." I sigh. "Besides that he wont trust you because you ever cheat with Quinn when they both were dating."

"But that was over. I'm with Rachel now and he is with you. He is dating you." Finn protest.

"It started from a fake dating." I said to Finn.

"We all know that but you and Sam are cute." Finn says to me.

"Can we stop talk about this?" I roll my eyes.

"Alright so how old that Barney is? Because I think that he is getting bigger." Finn says to me.

"I dont wanna answer that." I simply said and turn my face.

Finn park the car in front of the hotel that Rachel held for the Anti-Prom party. It was not really far from my house and McKinley actually.

He went out from his car as he open the passenger door for me. "Come on, I'll carry you until we arrive in front of the door." Finn says to me.

I let out a sigh and went out from his car. I keep holding my big barney doll and a bag of potato chips. Finn put his hand around my shoulder as we walk together.

Now I know why he want to carry me until that room because I'm look like a crazy girl. So he doesnt want me to get into the trouble like this.

"I will have a sleeping party in a hotel. And that's cool." I said to Finn.

"This is the room. I promise that after I finish my things, I will go here." Finn says to me.

"It's okay. I will be sleeping here tonight." I nodded.

"I'll be back." Finn strokes my hair and walks off.

I let out a sigh and knock that door. Just hope that Puck is not there so Sam wont more get angry or anything.

"Emily?" Rachel opens the door. "Come in."

"Thanks." I simply said and get in.

I gasped when I get in. I see Sam is there and sitting down on a chair and Puck is not here. I was wrong with this. But why he is here?

"You sure that you're not sleep walking here?" Kurt asks me.

"I dont know. Finn went to the prom and he wanted me to come here so I came besides that I can continue sleeping until the morning comes." I said and jump to the bed.

"This is a party and you cant sleep, Emily." Rachel frowns at me.

"What kind of party without food? Oh I have this one." I said and throw my potato chips to Blaine.

"I have these." Rachel shows me a basket of chocolate candy.

"I'm done with chocolate candy." I simply said and cover my face with that Barney doll.

Sam and I didnt say anything. I sit up from the bed and lean my back against the wall and eating a popcorn.

"Maybe we can do fashion show now. I left my prom dress in my car and I can get it." Rachel grins at us.

"Sounds better than we doing nothing here." Kurt nodded as agree.

"Alright, I'll be back." Rachel grins then walks off.

"You dont want to show your prom dress too?" Blaine asks me.

"I burn it and throw it to the trash." I simply said.

"What? You cant do that! You know how hard your mom and I looking for that dress for you?" Kurt frowns at me.

"I kept it in my wardrobe." I simply said.

"And why you here, Sam?" Blaine asks Sam.

"Because I dont have any prom dates." Sam simply answer.

Rachel finally back with her prom dress then walk to the bathroom and lock the bathroom. I just let out a sigh and keep eating the popcorn.

"I'm hungry." I said to them.

"We got room service." Blaine says to me.

"I dont bring my money." I said.

"You got this." Kurt simply said and throw his wallet to me.

"No, my hungry is gone." I shake my head and throw his wallet back from him.

I take the tv remote and turn on the tv. Rache is in the bathroom and I dont know what she is doing there.

45 minutes later

"Rachel, please go out I wanna take a pee!" Sam knocks the door as Rachel still lock herself in the bathroom.

"Gosh, this sucks." Kurt sighs.

"Yeah, well." Blaine sighs and layin his body next to me.

"If you wanted to go to the prom, I would have gone with you." Kurt says to Blaine.

"If someone would ask me to go the prom, I wouldnt be here and trapped here." I shout.

I turn my face at Sam and he just look at me and half-smiled at me. I bet he knows that I didnt lie to him yesterday.

"I am not going to give into Brittany's insane ban on hair gel. Freedom to use hair care products? It's in the Bill of Rights." Blaine says.

"Didn't the founding fathers all wear wigs?" Kurt raises his eyebrows at Blaine.

"You haven't seen me without an enormous amount of gel in my hair. It's, it's really bad." Blaine says to Kurt.

Suddenly there is a knock on the door. Kurt let out a sigh and walk to the door to open that door.

"Where's Rachel?" Finn asks us.

"She's been in the bathroom for 45 minutes." I answer.

"Rachel, come on. I cant pee in a bottle!" Sam knocking the door.

"I'm guessing the runs." Rachel shouts from that bathroom. "All right, let's let the anti-prom fashion extravaganza begin." Rachel opens the bathroom door and already ready with her dress.

Sam get into the bathroom and look that door.

"Hi. What are you doing here?" Rachel smiles at Finn.

"Well, I'll keep it simple. I love you.

You're beautiful. Prom sucks without you." Finn says to Rachel and give her a box.

They both walk closer and kissing. I sigh and turn my face away until my gaze meet Sam who went out from the bathroom and stops his way as he saw Finn and Rachel kissing.

Sam and I just look at each other. I know that Finn and Rachel can make it up but why Sam and I cant do the same thing?

"Prom sucks without all of you, guys. This is the last t time we're gonna get to be together like this. I want to dance with my fiancé, dance with my friends." Finn says to us.

"Well, I'll just pretend to be an iceculpture if Brittany sees me, and then she'll just pass me by." Blaine says and stands up.

"So, you guys gonna come?" Rachel asks us.

"Nope until the president would make an announcement that prom wont be exist anymore." I shake my head.

"I'm good. And you guys go ahead." Sam answer.

"Come on, E. You said that you want to go if we go together." Finn says to me.

"I want to have sleeping party in a hotel room. Just leave me your wallet because I dont even bring my phone or my money." I said to Finn.

"Alright." Finn sighs and throw his wallet to me but it landed on Sam.

"You dont need to. I'll stay here." Sam give the wallet back to Finn.

"Just come guys." Rachel smiles at us.

"Call me if you need something." Finn says to me.

Kurt, Blaine, Rachel, and Finn then walk off from this hotel room. I lay my body on the bed and make aslant backing Sam as I'm hugging mt doll.

"You can go if you want and dance with any girls that you want." I said without looking at Sam.

"I wont go if you dont wanna go." Sam says. "Besides this is your last prom and I'm still have like this next year."

"I dont care with that." I simply said.

Sam suddenly standing in front of me. "Listen, I'm really sorry. I didnt listen to your reason but I know that you didnt lie to me because you're here and Puck went to the prom with Becky. I'm really sorry and I shouldnt ignore you for two days like this." Sam says to me.

I sit up from the bed and looking at him. He just kneel down in front of me and then take my hand and hold it. I didnt say anything to him.

"Rachel and Finn has same problem with us but he can made it up. Come on, babe. I'll keep it simple, I love you, and prom sucks without you." Sam smiles at me.

"You dont give me a box of gift like Finn gave to Rachel." I chuckle.

"But I have this one." Sam stands up and take something from his pocket.

It's a flower bracelet for prom. Then he place it on my hand and smiles at me. I smile back at him and rubs his cheek. Sam pushes his face closer to me then kisses me softly. I kiss him back as we still holding our hands each other.

"I'm really sorry." Sam says to me.

"It's okay. That wasnt your fault." I smile at Sam.

"Well, you wanna go to the prom with me right?" Sam grins at me.

"I'd love to but we have to go back to my house because I left my dress there and my shoes." I said to Sam.

"We dont need to." Sam smirks at me.

"You want me to go to the prom wearing this pajama?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I have something for you." Sam smiles at me then walks to the wardrobe.

I just frown at him. He takes something from the wardrobe and take his bagpack until he shows me something.

A beautiful dress. A dress that I really want but because I already buy another one so I left that.

"That's the dress I saw in the mall." I said to Sam.

"Yes, I remember when I have to carry you to shopping and buy for the prom stuff but you can stop starring at this dress but now you got this. And this is as my apologize thing for ignore you about two days." Sam smiles at me.

"You stole that dress? Sam, you will get arrest for this." I chuckle. "Thank you so much. I never imagine you could do this to me. I mean got this dress." I smile at Sam and hug him.

"You better get change before we late for the prom." Sam smiles at me.

"But I we still have to go to home because I dont have my shoes." I said to Sam.

"I got this one." Sam shows me my cream high heels. "You left that in my car after we bought it then we fighted." Sam grins at me.

"You're the best boyfriend ever." I smile at Sam and take the dress and the shoes then walk to the bathroom.

I close the door and get changed. Glad that Rachel left her make up pouch so I guess I can borrow some hairclips from her and her make up.

"Not more than thirty minutes or we will be really late, babe." Sam shouts.

"Coming!" I shout back.

I place all those make up back to the pouch. I choose a simple hairstyle for me because I dont have any more time to get ready.

I unlock the door then open the door and went out from that bathroom. Sam suddenly stand up from his seat and looking at me.

"Baby, you're really beautiful." Sam smiles at me.

"Well, thank you. And I guess we have to go now." I smile shyly at him.

Sam smiles at me and then shows me his hand. I take his hand then he walked lead me until we went out from this hotel room as he keep the key.

"In case we want to go back here because Becky left all the condoms she brought." Sam whisper at me.

"Sam, you've gotta be kidding me." I roll my eyes.

"Haha just kidding. I'm not like that. We will back because your barney is there." Sam chuckles.

"i***t stripper." I roll my eyes.

"And you're in love with that stripper." Sam grins at me.

I just chuckle as we walk together to get out from this hotel then go to McKinley and have our prom.

"You guys finally come." Kurt smiles at us.

"Better than never right." I giggle.

"Come on, we can dance together." Sam says to me and walks lead me.

Santana, Brittany, and Tina are singing on the stage. Sam and I walk to the dance floor then start dancing.

"I'm glad that I have you here with me right now." I'm smiling at Sam.

"This is just beginnings. Next prom I will be alone and dance with those boys because you might be not here so for tonight, I just want to have fun with you." Sam smiles at me.

"I dont care about the nominee of prom king and queen tonight because all I want is you."

"You are the queen of my heart, baby."

"And you are the best thing in my life."

Sam just smiles at me. I put my hand around his shoulder as he put his hand around my waist then he kisses me softly and I kiss him back.

We pull our lips each other then stop dancing. Sam walks lead me to closer to the stage until we standing in front of the stage and he smiles at me.

"Dance here because I have a special number for you." Sam smiles at me and then walks to the stage.

I just raise my eyebrows until Joe, Rory, Mike, and Artie do the same thing and the music begin.

They ended up their performance with full of clapping from us. I was cant stop dancing through this song and enjoy the performance.

They went off from the stage until principal Figgins take a standing microphone and standing on the stage.

"Prom king and queen announcement?" Sam asks me.

"I guess so. Because it's already ten." I said to Sam.

"Go get your crown, princess." Sam smiles at me and hug me from behind.

"Quiet please, children." Principal Figgins says from the microphone until the crowded gone. "First I have an announcement to make there are reptiles living in McKinley toilets no more. The family of snakes has been safely removed to the zoo, and they can life out their lives in the toilets there."

"What the hell is he talking about? I'm scared with snake." I frown at Sam.

"I found one on boys toilet on the second floor." Sam simply said.

"Ewww."

'And now, this year's Prom Court: Nominees for the Prom King are: Finn Hudson, Noah Puckerman, Rick "The Stick" Nelson, And President Brittany S. Pierce." Principal Figgins says as they are walk to the stage. "The nominees for Prom Queen: Missy Gunderson, Santana Lopez, Emily Hudson, and Miss Quinn Fabray." Principal Figgins says.

I left Sam's hand then walk to the stage while lifting my down side of my dress a bit so I wont fall.

"I would like to invite last year's queen, sassy male student Kurt Hummel, to crown this year's winners." Principal Figgins says then Kurt walks to the stage. "And this year's Prom King is.... Hmm....Mr. Finn Hudson."

I'm applauding through this and seems like everyone cheering for Finn. Kurt give the crown to him and wear it on his head.

"And the winner for Prom Queen is..... Students, for the second year in a row, we have prom anarchy. Receiving the majority of write-in votes, I would like to welcome on the stage....Miss Rachel Berry." The shooting lamp shoots to Rachel and she just gasped and look confused.

I turn my face at Santana and Quinn and they both just smiling at clapping. Do they changed the votes or something?

"McKinley Titans, bow down to your new leaders! And now first dance of this year's Senior King and Queen!" Principal Figgins says to us then left the stage.

"What happened?" I whisper at Santana.

"Doing something good before graduate begins." Santana grins at me and take two microphones and give the one to Quinn.

I'm just smiling then walk off from the stage. Slow music begin. Finn and Rachel are dancing in the middle of the dance floor alone until Santana and Quinn start singing.

"How come this is happened?" Sam asks me.

"I dont know but I know that Rachel really win Finn's heart and all McKinley's student heart." I smile at Sam.

"And you win my heart. Dont worry about that because you will always be my queen." Sam hugging me from behind.

I'm just smiling as we heard Quinn and Santana singing meanwhile Finn and Rachel are dancing together.

I turn my face and I gasped when I see Quinn is standing from her wheelchair slowly and she finally can standing.

"Sam, look!" I said to Sam and point at Quinn.

"That's amazing. Wow. She really surprise us." Sam says and smiling at me.

I nodded and smile back at him. "I know that. Because this is might be the miracle of prom dinosaurs tonight." I chuckle.

"I love you so much." Sam kisses my cheek.

"I love you too, Sam." I smile at him.

The others turn their face at Quinn and they start smiling and clapping for her. Yeah I know that Quinn changed a lot since that tragedy. She really change to be a better girl and I guess she deserves those all these things.
