Olexia and Arez met when they were in fifth grade. Arez was a silent kid. He was constantly bullied by the other kids. Once, Olexia happened to pass by, when three of the kids were bullying Arez. She called her friend Jake to save Arez from those kids. Jake towered over everyone in their class. He beat the kids and saved Arez. From that day, Arez becomes friends with Olexia and Jake. A few months later, Arez’s mother died in an accident. Olexia became closer to Arez. After his father remarried a bar dancer, Arez stayed most of the time at Olexia’s house. Once his stepmother ran away with some other guy, Arez went back to his home to live with his father. He was never happy at his home, but at the same time he was ashamed to go back to Olexia’s house again. His father brought many girls again and again to their house. His father, Zavier, was searching for a woman with the qualities of his ex-wife. He couldn’t find any. He was more interested in dating than taking care of his boy. Zavier never found a stable relationship ever after. On the prom night, Arez proposed to Olexia. They had their first kiss after the prom night. Arez promised her that he would never have another girl in his life. Olexia would be his only one. When Zavier came to know that Arez was having a relationship with Olexia, he decided to stop searching a girlfriend for himself. He realized that his son had grown up. He was happy that Arez had Olexia with him. He saw himself and his wife in them. Taurus and Aulga had no problem with Arez either. Taurus wanted a human to be his daughter’s man. He wanted her to be away from the Lycan world. Aulga knew Arez was a good boy, and he would be the perfect partner for her daughter. Olexia looked at the watch in disbelief. The train is leaving and she is late. Arez will get angry now. He doesn’t like Olexia to be late. Arez was a changed person now. The change happened after his eighteenth birthday. Olexia and Jake went to his house to wish him, but he was some new friends. Jake had never seen them before. They were not from their locality. Arez drank liquor with them and smoked cigarettes. Olexia never saw him smoking before. Arez kept them waiting for a long time until his new friends left. Jake smelled a different kind of odour other than liquor and cigarettes. He had his doubts but never shared with Olexia. “I am drunk,” Arez said, “am I not supposed to drink on my eighteenth birthday? Don’t treat me like a small kid. I am a man now. I can do anything I want.” Arez snorted when questioned. The change gradually came to show. The calm, silent Arez had disappeared. He became arrogant. He got angry for little things. He became an arse, Jake always said. Olexia expected an angry call but it never came. Arez would call her continuously if she was late. Until she reaches him, he would send angry texts for keeping him waiting. He would lecture her about the importance of time. But, this time, her phone was undisturbed. Olexia rushed towards the interior of the station. She saw the train leaving. She ran towards the overbridge to reach the other platform. She saw the train completely disappear as she climbed the stairs down to the second platform. She stood at the stairs as her eyes scanned the entire area. Where is he? There, she saw, in between two blondes, Arez was walking with his arms wrapped around them. For Olexia, that was an unbearable sight. She never expected to see him with other girls. The blondes were scarcely dressed, showing off their skin to everyone in the crowd. Olexia saw, everyone was staring at the girls. Arez was in a group of youngsters, seven or eight of them. Everyone was in their shorts and tees as if they were heading towards some beach. She saw him kissing one of the girls. The other girl was giggling as he kissed her. Then Arez kissed the other girl too. Olexia felt the ground she stood slipping away. She moved towards a corner away from their sight and silently watched Arez. The group was in no hurry. Olexia counted eight, four guys and four girls. As they passed by her, Olexia heard Arez say, “Lexi, I want to do it at the beach.” A girl replied, “I too want to join in the fun. A threesome at the beach would be more exciting.” Both the girls chuckled at the reply. No, no, no. Her inner wolf screamed. Olexia followed the group, keeping a safe distance. She couldn’t hear anything they said. As the group exited the station, a large SUV stopped near to them. They entered the vehicle and one of the blondes sat on Arez’s lap. Olexia wanted to cry. She walked out of the station as the SUV sped away. She took the phone out of her pocket and dialled a number. She didn’t know why she was calling that number. She shouldn’t have. Soon she realised that. Arez picked the call. He didn’t even greet her. Instead, he lashed out at her. “Where are you bi***? How long will you make me wait? You do this all the time. I hired a taxi. No need to come.” “I... just ... reached ...” somehow Olexia managed to say. He called me a b****. Olexia felt her heart torn into pieces. The world around her was crashing down on her. “Oh, you reached so early, ah. It was my mistake that I didn’t wait for you. I don’t want to see you, you little s**t.” He cut the call. Olexia stood stunned. His tone was unrecognisable. He wasn’t in his senses. Yet, he called her a s**t. Olexia stood outside the station with teary eyes. A cab stopped in front of her. “Oh, the beautiful girl is crying. What happened? Did you miss the train?” Olexia saw the driver. It was the same person who dropped her at the station. She wiped her tears off and jumped into the cab. “Go to the beach.” She said. He started the car. He looked at her through the mirror. He sensed something was wrong. She wasn’t crying because she missed the train. This was something else. “Did your boyfriend break up with you?” Olexia remained silent. “By the way, I am Jacob. I think your ex-boyfriend doesn’t deserve a beautiful girl like you.” He started flirting again. He stressed on the word ‘ex-boyfriend’. As for him, her relationship was over even though he wasn’t aware of anything. “Can you please keep quiet and drive?” Olexia retorted. She wanted to know. Was Arez doing all this to make her jealous? Or does he really ignore her? How could he do that to her? Jacob was driving slowly. He wanted to see her. He liked her. Olexia was immersed in her thoughts. She couldn’t stop crying. Tears rolled down her cheeks. “I can comfort you.” Jacob licked his lips. “The back seat of a car is always a special place.” “F**k you, f**k him, f**k everyone.” Olexia shouted. “Stop the car. I know I can walk to the beach.” She had already opened the door. “Oh wait, wait.” Jacob slowed down. “I will drop you. I won’t say anything more. I promise.” This b***h is a tough nut to c***k. Olexia saw the SUV parked at the entrance of the beach. “Stop here.” She threw some bills at the driver and jumped out. She didn’t even wait to get her change and walked towards the beach. The beach wasn’t crowded at that time of the day. Most of the people were at work. Very few people, especially college kids, were at the beach. Olexia searched for the group. At the far end, she saw them close to the salt waters. She ambled her way towards them. Her feet were feeling heavy, as was her heart. This was a bad idea. She wanted to know what was going on as if she knew how this was going to end. She prepared mentally to face reality. Her phone rang as she was walking. The call was from Jake. “Hello, where are you?” Olexia heard Jake’s soothing voice. “I am at the beach,” Olexia replied. “What are you doing at the beach? Why are you not at the store? And ... what happened to your voice?” Jake understood her voice was gloomy. “N ... nothing.” She replied. “Tell me, I can feel it. What is wrong?” “Arez is back. He is at the beach,” Olexia said. “Ah, then why are you not happy? Did he say something? Is he angry at you?” Jake was concerned. He also had noticed the change in his behaviour and habits. “He is with his friends. He called me ...” Olexia couldn’t complete her sentence. Jake waited for a few seconds for her to finish. Then, he pressed. “What did he call you?” “He called me a b***c and s**t.” Olexia started crying. “I am coming. You wait for me.” Jake said. Olexia didn’t wait. She strolled towards the group. As she got closer, Olexia saw both the blondes were naked and Arez hugged both of them. They were kissing each other. One of the girls lay down to the ground and Arez climbed over her. As Olexia watched, Arez had s*x with the blonde. *****-----*****
