“DAISY!” I roar as I watch Daisy’s majestic white wolf jump off the balcony and run into the woods. ‘LUNA DAISY JUST ESCAPED MY ROOM. FIND HER!!’ I shout through the mind link to my pack.
‘She isn’t our mate,’ Denali says to me. My wolf sounds defeated.
‘She is our mate, Denali,’ I growl and run out of the room and out of the house. I see warriors run past me. “She went that way,” I shout and point. I try to shift to go after them, but Denali doesn’t allow it. ‘Denali, what the hell? We need to go after Daisy.’
‘She isn’t our mate,’ He repeats.
‘f**k! Stupid wolf.’ I snarl, head towards my vehicle, and drive back to the packhouse. ‘I will be at the packhouse,’ I mind link the warriors and guards. I reach the house, and my brother Eli is standing out front. “What, Eli?”
