CHAPTER 28: Sarah

Sarah was a coward. She loved Nick. He loved her. Why was she always so scared?
“I promise that no matter what you tell me, I’ll give you one night of you being in control—complete control.”
That wasn’t the real problem and by the tension in his jaw and the disappointment in his eyes, he knew that. She had to fess up. She’d start small. Baby steps as Dr. Smileworth said.
“You were right too. I...I did enjoy the kids and I do want children. Later. Not now.” Her heart raced at the terror of finding herself pregnant again.
“I’m glad.” His fingers intertwined with hers. “One day. Maybe a few years after we marry.” He tugged and she stretched out by his side.
“Yeah.” She kissed his chest. They could talk later. “I guess that means you won too.”
