Nick got out of the pool as the women ushered the kids inside to change.
Terry walked over and handed him a scotch. “Here.”
“Thanks.” He sat on one of the lounge chairs and took a long sip. “You not drinking?” He glanced at the iced tea in Terry’s hand.
“Nah. Got a long drive.”
Nick nodded and took another drink. “I did enjoy the kids.”
“Children are great.” Terry stretched out on another chair.
“Yeah.”
“But...” Terry studied him.
“I think Sarah was right. I’m not ready to have children. I like our life as it is.”
“Understandable. Kids turn your life inside out and they always come first.” Terry sat up, leaning forward with elbows on his knees. “When you do decide to have them, take some advice from me. Make time for the two of you.” He stared into his
