•• DOMINICK ••
"Mate...?" I repeated the omega's words, and glanced at her against her breast. I couldn't see her face clearly except her sparkling purple eyes. They were beautiful, and the more I stare at her eyes, the more I feel myself getting drowned in them.
'I want to see her face. I want to see the omega who managed to attract me towards her, ' I squinted my eyes, trying hard to figure out the appearance of omega before me.
She definitely must be special because her pheromones worked on me. In the past, I have never been attracted to any omega's pheromones, not even Beta females caught my attention.
"Argh...my head hurts...," I groaned, fisting my hand in my hair. And before I could ask her name, my eyes shut. My body falling limp over her, my face resting on her exposed breasts.
The world turned dark, and believe me, I have never regretted drinking alcohol but tonight I wished I'd have been sober. I could hear her faint worried voice, calling me restlessly. Damnit! I truly deserve to be called rogue...

At 9:00 am, director's office,
"Fuck...," I utter a curse in annoyance, my arms folded over my forehead. "I can't recall her face at all... except her eyes. What kind of joke is that?"
"Lord, you have been talking to yourself for the last 30 minutes. If anything's troubling you, do tell me," Mark said, distracting me again. "Are you looking for someone? A woman?"
"Kinda of...."
"Are you being serious right now?" Mark narrowed his eyes at me in doubt. "Last night was the night of the Blood Moon. Do not tell me you marked someone and now you don't remember her! Is that not the case here, right?"
Sigh of guilt escaped my lips, "That's what it's all about. I think I have marked an omega she-wolf and now I don't remember her face. What should I do?"
"Then again, is that something I should be worrying about? She will find me herself because she's been marked by me."
I nodded with my self explanatory words and sat straight in my chair. However Mark looked mortified, his gaze landing cold on me.
"How can you behave so carelessly, Lord?" He snarled, gritting his teeth in frustration. "You know right, you are not affected by pheromones of females. But last night you got swayed by omega's scent, can you understand what that means?"
"Does it have to mean something?" I asked nonchalantly, resting my face on my hand.
"Holy goddess," he smacked his hand on his face and sighed deeply. "She might be your fated mate. You can change the public opinion about you being a mate-less and cursed hybrid..."
"Maybe then the werewolf council will give you equal respect like other Alphas of werewolf territories. You should immediately start looking for her in—"
"Mark," I spoke, interrupting him in the middle. "How many times has it been already?"
"Lord, you are past the age of mating... Now that Moon Goddess gave you a chance, why are you kicking it off? Are you going to remain single?"
Mark insisted, increasing my rage against the werewolves. It's not his place to make decisions for me. I have a purpose in my life and that doesn't include mating with she-wolf and making babies.
The traumas I have suffered at the hands of werewolves still makes my blood boil. My stepfather had me thrashed out of the pack, took my mother from me... How could I forgive them easily and move on with my life?
Now that disgusting stepfather of mine has sent his granddaughter to me. He wants me to babysit her as a way to pay for the financial support he provided me until I turned 18.
"But Lord... It's—"
"Enough," I rose up from my chair and towered over him. "You have said enough and I have heard enough. If she's destined to be my fated mate, we will meet again. You don't have to nag about my personal matters."
Suddenly the professor of physical education knocked on my office's door and entered inside, panting for air. Inhaling deeply, he bowed down, his hand gripping on his knees to keep him from falling over.
"Lord, Miss Abigail has got into a fight with her classmate," he reported and my headache returned.
"This girl... I asked her to stay low but she's going around throwing tantrums on her classmates," I cursed, storming out of my office, my fists clenched tightly. "Was the last time's punishment not enough for her to act normal? Should I make her run around the academy for the whole day?"
"What is going on, Lord?" Mark asked, running behind me.
However I was too mad to stop and explain everything to him. I followed the professor to the training ground and saw her. There she was sweating profusely, her dress covered in dirt, her hands gripping the hair of another girl. And she was cursing the girl whatnot.
"Shameless!" Truly disgraceful sight to witness before starting my day.
That oldman Zachary indeed has sent this girl to reduce my lifespan. I will have to send an official email to him about her behaviour. If she continues being tsundere I'll have no choice but to send her back to her pack.
"For now, I'll have to stop her," I nodded stiffly at Mark, prompting him to grab the other girl who was indulging in a fight with Abigail.
I took off my coat, and folded my shirt's sleeves up to my elbow before marching towards her. Grabbing her right wrist, I pulled her back but she broke free from my grip and launched at the girl.
'She slipped through my hold? Seriously...'
I didn't like her quick reflexes and grabbed her from behind. Holding her waist, I pulled her back while Mark took the girl to the nurse's office.
"Who the f**k dared to hold me? Get your hands off me right away," she scowled, throwing her legs in the air and scratching my arms like a wild cat. "I said let go of me fool!" She screamed and bared her sharp teeth into my right hand.
"Are you done? Because I'm going to make you pay for biting my hand," I warned her and she immediately stopped moving.
I could imagine the kind of scared expressions she might be having right now. I carried her like a sack to my office and made her sit. Then washed the blood off my healed hand.
"What is wrong with you?" I asked, offering her bottle of water. "Are you that excited to get expelled from the academy?"
She didn't answer and rather took the bottle from my hand and threw it aside. She then sighed and glanced at me, "Uncle... you don't remember anything?"
"What are you talking about? Did something happen between us for me to remember?" I coldly scoffed, standing before her with my back leaning against the window's frame.
She went quiet again, her fingers crossed together while her lips pressed in a thin lip. It was as if she wanted to say something but couldn't find words to put it in her sentence.
And I don't know why I was overthinking about what she wanted to say to me, my eyes not leaving the sight of her tensed face. It was weird that I was feeling uneasy because of her silence, my chest tightening in strange suffocation.
'Fuck... Why am I worrying about her?' I clenched my jaws, turning my face away from her.
"Don't worry I'll not say anything to your grandfather, happy now?"
However instead of thanking me, she sighed even more and groaned in annoyance.
