Henrietta closed the door shut behind her. She had heard a carriage drive by. Did whoever it was see what had happened? "Let me see your hands baby". Henrietta dropped the basket of herbs and grabbed Eleora's tiny hands. The finger that had been pricked had turned a deep shade of red. "Does it hurt?" Eleora nodded. "Come on let me treat it before it worsens". Eleora followed her mother to the kitchen. Henrietta opened the cabinet and got some leaves. She pounded and mixed then till they became paste. She then applied it on Eleora's finger. "It'll help incase the flower was poisoned okay?" Eleora nodded. "What happened to the flowers Mum? They died instantly". Eleora spoke up softly after a while. "I.....I don't know". Henrietta spoke softly. "Am I cursed mother?" Eleora's question took her mother off guard and she squatted in front of her immediately. "Of course not baby. There's nothing wrong with you". "Then why won't you let me mix up with other kids? Why has that bird refused to leave our roof? Is that why you won't let me go to school?" Tears rolled down her tiny face. "You're not cursed Eleora. You're just special. Others don't see it. But be rest assured you'll start school soon. Your father and I, we're working on it". Henrietta engulfed her in a warm hug. The other wolves were scared. She was too. *** "Did you love the tour?" Their mother was the first to welcome them with open arms. She stood at the front of the royal mansion. "Yes mum. We did. I wish you came along but apparently father wanted the men days out". Lex smiled, hugging her. "My lil boy is already calling himself a man". "But I'm not a little boy any more mum. C'mon I'm crown prince now. Soon to be King". "When you get to that age, you can think of taking my crown". Their father joined them and the Werewolf Queen curtsied. The King took her right hand, kissed it and bowed to her. "We're in the modern age guys. A hug and kiss on the lip can do". Lex said, bored. "Is that what you were doing with the Alpha's daughter?" The question took Lex off guard. The Queen gasped. "Dad!" "You were kissing the Alpha's daughter?" "I didn't. We were just talking!" "About?" "Her painting dad! She was just showing me her painting". Cedric raised an eyebrow at his brother. "So what was this painting about?" "You know this is really not your business Dad". "How I greet my wife shouldn't be your business either". "Did we realize we're still standing outside?" Cedric spoke up. "Cedric dear. You've been so quiet since you returned. Is anything the matter? Didn't you enjoy your day out?" Queen Natasha asked, cradling her second son under her arm as they went inside. "He's been that way since they got there". King Alaric said. "Is everything okay son?" "Let's start with the painful ride on that carriage when we could have just used the car, to the fact that my fingers yearn to play the piano". "Excuse me Your Majesties". Cedric went up to his room, leaving his parents speeches. He sighed and went to the window, leaning his head on the sill. The door creaked open and without turning, he spoke. "Did mother and father send you here to talk to me? Or you just decided to bother my peace of mind" "Ced you've refused to say anything since we got to Wolf moon. In fact since that little girl. You just zoned out". "I'm fine Lex. Leave me alone". "I won't. You're my brother and I need to know what's wrong with you!" "I said leave me alone!!" "Fine! Then I won't tell you the information Aurora gave me about the girl!" Lex stormed out angrily, slamming the door shut. "Lex". Cedric called out but got no response. "Damn you!" He cussed, pacing his room. His curiosity tugged at him. He wanted to find out everything there was to know about that girl. It was strange but he felt they were one. "f**k you Lex!" He breathe out and went after his brother. Slamming the door shut behind him. "His Majesty went to the gardens and said we should refer you there if you come searching for him". The guard that was outside Lex's room told Cedric. Cedric mentally face palmed himself. His brother was one pain in the ass. "I see you've finally got a grip on your anger". Lex said immediately he caught whiff of his brother's scent. "Caught the crap Lex. You've stressed me out enough already don't you think?" "I'm still your elder brother Cedric, get some control over your tongue". "Sorry big brother". He said sarcastically. Lex shot him a glare. "Whatever. What did Aurora tell you?" "Before I tell you that, you have to tell me why you acted that way after you saw the girl and why you desperately want to know about her". "Same thing that caused you to go ask Aurora about her. The flower". "That's a lie Cedric. I know you. You're hardly bothered by whatever happens around you. There's more". Cedric contemplated whether or not to tell his brother. "The truth is I don't know. I just don't know. There's something about her that calls out to me". "They think she's cursed". "Wait! What?" Cedric choked on his spit. "You heard me. No one knows what she is exactly asides from being a wolf. There's a crow on their roof. It's been there since the day she was born. Has never left". "Crows....they symbolize dark magic". Cedric stuttered. "Exactly what Aurora believes. It's the best explanation for....." "The flowers". Cedric completed. "Exactly. So whatever you think is calling out to you, block it out". *** "Mate". A small voice whimpered. "Mate". Prince Cedric breathed out. "They're coming for me. Help me. Please". She sobbed. Prince Cedric quickened his steps down to the dungeons following the voice. She sounded so scared. "Get me out of here please". She cried. "Save me!" It's like her voice came from everywhere. Cedric stumbled trying to trail her. The royal dungeon was huge. "Save me Cedric!" It was like she was in his head. "They're taking me Cedric. Save me!!" She screamed in his head. Cedric fell to his knees, holding his head in pain but he was hell bent on finding his little mate. He got up to his feet and stumbled through the hallways. "I'm here!" Her voice came from the West. He ran towards it, opening the first door. "Here Cedric! Here!" It came from the East. "Damn it mate! Where are you??" He screamed holding his head. "Here". "Here". Her voice was coming from everywhere. He knelt down and kept calm, listening carefully. "They're coming for me". The last voice said. He gasped, running to the door where it came from. It was locked. "I'll get you out. I promise. Hold on". He looked around for something to break the lock with. "Damn it!" He screamed when he couldn't find anything. "Place your hand on the lock". He did and he started feeling warmth slowly. Then it got so hot he took his hands off. "f**k!!!" The lock broke just as he heard foot steps. "Save me! They're coming!" Her voice became desperate. Cedric pushed the door open and there stood the little girl he had seen in Wolf Moon pack. "Save me mate". Her eyes were pitch black. Cedric screamed.
