Gwen's Pov:
Have you ever experience waking up with a bang?
Me? I always did.
I walk up everyday with some kind of bang. And you know what bang is it?
Tok tok tok tok tok
i mean the loudest!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
"Gwen! Wake up! You only have 30mins to get ready for school. My God! I've been waking you up for hours." Someone shouted on the other side of my close door. That's my grandma by the way. And that's the bang I'm talking about.
"Ok! ok! I'm up" I shouted back while yawning and removing my morning star.
"After taking a bath, go down and eat your breakfast!" She replied as I hear her voice getting a little low, an indication that she's walking away from my room.
She's a bit a nagger and strict. And I don't know if she's a clean freak or am just nasty, but she is always telling me to ALWAYS take a shower, twice daily. And it wasn't good for a weather like this.
But what I like the most about her is that she really does cook good food, specially her sour soup with veggies and pork. Whatcha call it? Sinigang! oh I love it so much. Another thing, she teaches us is to always eat rice. And I hate it sometimes coz my cheer uniform doesn't fit me anymore.
She is a Filipina, and she stay with us for six years, since my grand father died. And since my parents are always away, working their ass off, they want someone to look after me and my little brother Bryan.
My mother is a Filipino-American. She works as an office staff in one of the most successful magazine publishing company in the country.
My father is a Korean-American who works as a photographer along with my mother. And they love their job so much. They're so dedicated that they don't have much time for us. But if I were they, I would love the job too. I'll tell you why later.
I grew up hearing their stories as being best friend, both half-Asian, being bullied at their time because they are different, that time when people around wasn't that open minded about being different. Falling in love, protecting and defending each other. And got married after high-school. My mom stops studying because she's pregnant with me. And continues again after giving birth, my father working doubles. Their life is hard and they struggled financially before, because of having a family earlier than someone their age. Those unending stories and the likes of that.
That makes me half American, a quarter Filipino and a quarter Korean. That's what makes our home a disastrous one, in a good way. It's like clashing of different culture in one place.
But I look more of an American, maybe because I was born and raised here. Except for the color of my skin and for my eyes. I have a chinky Asian light brown eyes, that matches my hair. Creamy fair skin, not Milky white skin. Yah know, the difference of the colours. A little paler than tan.
I get up. Take a bath for five minutes. And wear my school uniform. Our uniform is kinda simple, it consist of white long sleeve polo with ribbon or neck tie, tack-in to a gray skirt, that riches above my knees. Vest is only optional. I don't like it so I don't usually wear it. But season is asking more than a vest. So I'm also wearing a blazer. And then wear my two inches black high boots. It make me look taller than my 5"5' height.
I put on some moisturizer on my face, a little mascara and my peach liptint. I just blow dry my over shoulder-length hair and let it down. And I'm done.

"Gwen, have i told you about the company gathering this saturday?" And that's my mom. Talking to me while in breakfast.
"You haven't mention it. Is there?" I replied with my excited tone.
"Yes baby. It should be done before Christmas, but the management agreed to make it a post year end party. Wear something special, ok?" and she wink. Oh my bubbly mom.
You know what excites me the most? Except that I'll see some celebrities? I will get a chance to be with the most gorgeous man I've ever seen in all walks of life. Exaggerated you think huh. But I'm in love, in love with the CEO's son, Austin James Anderson since the first time I saw him.
That was ten years ago. I am only seven back then. It was also in company gathering . He was there, not just the CEO's son but also a child model.
And that boy mesmerised me since then. But that boy doesn't talk to me anymore. I don't know why. Then memory of five years ago, annual party, flash back to me.
"Hey, Austin!" I called out to the boy I've been looking for since we came here. And he looks at me. I know that he recognize me. It's written all over his eyes. Why shouldn't he? We're occasionally playmates.
But he looks away as if he doesn't know me. We're not that close, yeah, we're not even friends, we just play whenever my mom has no other option but to bring me to their work place, but can he just say hi or just nod his head out of politeness.
"Uhmm! Hey!" Maybe am a little bit persistent, I went infront of him smiling sweetly to talk to him. "Do you still remember me?"
"Yeah!" He replied not even smiling!
"Well! Uhm— Are you bored?!" I said to start a conversation with him.
"No!" He replied coldly.
"Aw! Do you want to play with me?" I said not even bothered by his animosity and coldness.
"We're not kids anymore!" He replied still cold and annoyed. Yeah! We're not kids anymore. I'm already twelve and he's eighteen. But I just want to be with him. "And why would I play with you?" He asks.
"W-what?!"
"You've played with almost all the kids here! Maybe you've collected all their viruses with you!" He replied with a frown in his face and disgust.
Then he walks away! Leaving me stunned with teary eyes.
It shocked me. And since then, he haven't talked to me or even bothered looking at me. It's as if my my presence disgust him. And I still don't know what I did wrong. But I still see him as my first crush! And the last to be exact.
Then I snapped back into present day as I look at my brother who keeps munching his food WITH SOUND. "Stop that" i said, and he just smirks.
My brother is a seven year old grade three, accelerated student. He's smart and cute. We actually doesn't looks like siblings. He's more like my dad. The only similarity is our eyes. And the color of our hair. But he eats scandalously and piggy. Yuycks!
Then I look at my mom again, and asked questions eagerly. "Are there celebrities going!"
"Yeah!" She replied. "A singer and a model! But it's still a surprise honey!"
"Who could that be?" I asks again excitedly. But my excitement was cut off my father.
"Bry, Gwen, finish your break fast, I'll drive you both to school today. We'll talk about that gatherings later." My father declared.
