Dangerously in Love

CHAPTER 12: 3 DAYS CHAT

As time went by, they kept on chatting with each other every single day. It has become interesting in how their relationship develops. 

It always begins with a text of," Hey baby" and they compliment each other. She sent him her recent picture and he commented, "I love the glasses." 

She has been waiting for him to come online. So she texted, "I'm so happy that you are online. Been waiting for you." because he wasn't online for 24 hours while he would normally text her before he goes to bed. 

She then opened up her i********: and find him posting in his Insta story - which is a rare thing - to find that he's in Africa so she then confirms to him,"Are you in Africa or something? Saw your stories." 

He then replied, "It's an old picture. Just felt like posting it." 

She then compliments him, "You looked good." 

He replied, "Yeah, I went to Kenya some months back. I really enjoyed my stay. I love the culture. So tell me what have you been up to?"

She replied to him that she has this teaching drama meeting with a school where they need an extracurricular teacher and she's considering it. She then added, "It's high school. I'm in an Uber now, on my way home. How about you?" 

He asked her, "How is the pay?" 

She replied, "Well... it's enough for me to get by :) It's an additional income that I can save up. And they desperately need someone to teach them, I feel like I want to help." 

He simply replied, "Ok then. If it's really what you want to do it's fine. You can go for the job." 

She then begins to discuss how he always wakes up every 3 AM in the morning and that she has so many questions that she wants to ask him over the call later on with him as they make an appointment to call with each other. 

But before that, she texted, "What have you been up to?" 

He replied, "Just woke up." he then added, "I normally check my forex chat, to know how the market is going... The forex market runs 24 hours through the clock from Sundays to Fridays for retail traders but always available to banks 24/7. I work all the time." 

She can only reply to him with, "I see... I can see why. It's nice for you to spend the time with me :) - Seemed yesterday you were really busy." 

He likes her reply, "It's good that you understand. Oh yes. I lost some money yesterday in the market. It wasn't a good day for me but I am working towards getting the profit today." 

She then replied, "I wish you luck." 

They begin to talk about her teaching job and how the coronavirus affecting her events and his trading in the market. She then asked him, "Have you listen to the song that I sent you?" 

He said, "Listening to it now." 

She sent him 'Calum Scott - You Are The Reason' 

After a while, he replied to her, "Such a lovely song." 

She then texted, "It's for you :) I've been wanting to send it since yesterday, I thought it would be nice." 

Out of nowhere, he texted, "I love you"  

She feels warmth in her heart and replied back to him, "I love you" 

As she texted, she also played the song with her headphones so she captures the moment right when she said 'I love you' to him. She doesn't know why she wants to say I love you back to him but that's the only thing that comes up with her mind. 

He then texted her, "So what are you doing at the moment?" 

She replied, "Just scrolling on i********:. I'm also listening to You Are The Reason and I'm listening to my podcast." She then asked him, "Will you have the time to call me today baby?"

At this stage, she has become addicted to him. Like a longing that needs to be cured only by his voice. 

Not long, he replied, "Would call you later in the day." 

She replied, "Thank you, baby." 

She attached him her recent picture in a short and a pyjama. 

He then replied, "Hmm... somebody is looking sexy." he compliments her. 

She was happy to receive his comment and asked him, "I woke up and I thought I took a selfie for you. Do you like it?" 

He replied, "I love it. You look really sexy and thick. Just the way I like it." 

She's happy that he compliments her, "Aww... thank you, " 

He then texted her, "It's evening over there. What did you have for lunch?" 

She replied, "Yes, it's 5:38 PM, I had spicy squid with brown rice and I'm currently having spicy fish with brown rice now for dinner. :) Have you have your coffee yet?"

She knows that he likes coffee for breakfast. 

He then commented on her, "Proper diet. Nope, when I get back from my stroll. I will have my coffee. Would soon be going..."  

She replied, "Yes, I'm trying to lose some weight :) Hope you are thinking of me during your stroll x" 

He replied, "You are always on my mind. You should always know that I love you so much and you mean a lot to me." 

Reading his reply to her moves her heart, as she starred the message from him, she replied to him, "Thank you, baby, It means a lot. Because yesterday when you are busy, I was wondering about it - because we are having this long-distance, sometimes it's hard if you know what I mean. :)"  

He replied to her, "Of course, I do understand. But you should always know, somedays I might be too busy. But nevertheless, I would still have you in mind, always." 

She replied, "I understand... please do let me know, so I know x. Just don't leave me hanging, babe... because yesterday, I waited for your call and chat the whole day because I miss you, but it's ok :) Just let me know if you are too busy, then I'll step aside. " 

He understands her longing for him, "I'm sorry. I will. I have to go now. Will chat you up later." 

She then added, "Have fun at your stroll x" 

He quickly replied, "Love you baby" 

She smiles and replied to him, "Love you too" 

Selah. 

She begins to wonder when he is going to call her. She's been waiting for his call for days now. She then texted him, "What time do you want to call me?"

He then replied to her after a while, "Baby, I'm so sorry, I have been so busy. Haven't been with my phone." 

She frowns and texted him, "You have been working" 

He texted her, "Yes, I have been working. So sorry. How have you been?" 

She doesn't know what to answer him despite her waiting for his calls all day but then she answers, "Just thought, I will wait for your call but you've been busy. So that's ok." She understands that he is a busy person. She then added, "I really want to talk to you." 

He begins to feel sorry for her, "I'm so sorry, Baby..." 

and then not long after that, he called her at midnight. They talked about their day and how the call helps and how they missed the voice of each other. 

Selah. 

The next day, it's a long day for her. She went to her uncle's house but before that, she texted him this time, "Hey baby, I'm awake." 

No reply from him. 

One hour later, she texted, "Hey, I wanna ask, after the conference, you are coming to Indonesia, right? I think I want you to come to see me first and meet my parents, etc. What do you think?" 

She wants to know his house address so she texted him this, one hour later, without his reply, "Also, what's your shirt size? I feel like I want to send you something. It's a batik shirt from Indonesia. You can use this for formal occasion, work/office, or any day when you feel like it." 

Still no reply from him. She thought to her self, "This relationship really tested out my patience." 

She thought that every time she waits for him, he didn't come online, but when she's not waiting for him, he came online. Which is a bit bizarre for her. So she trained her self to not wait for him and just live her day. 

When she's at her uncle's house playing with her uncle's dog, at 5:48 PM, five hours later, he finally replied to her, "I can't make it to Indonesia before my conference." 

With her excitements that he finally replied, she texted him, "I mean after the conference babe." 

He replied, "Oh ok... Yes, of course, I'd love to meet your parents. My shirt size is XL, preferably slim fit. That's lovely. You want me to wear the traditional fabric, yeah? Alright then. Although I have to point out, I don't like bright colours much. But it's alright, we'll do light shopping when I come around. " 

He saw her recent w******p stories, "You have a tattoo. It's lovely. Just noticed it now. So tell me what have you been up to?"

When he didn't answer her question in terms of his home address, she let it sly. Even though she still think how mysterious he is and how good he reverse the question but she didn't pay attention to her feelings about this and replied to him, "Yayy...thank you. I just walked both of my uncle's dog. They are a Corgi and a Malamute." 

She then added, "Well... this is Harry Styles hand, but yes I do have the same tattoo, thank you." She then tries her luck again in asking his home address, "I was thinking, I could send it to you before you come :) If you'd like? Just something to remind you of me :)" 

He then replied, "Would prefer going to buy it together with you. Would also get you some stuff." 

She replied, "Aww...thanks." and added, "Alright then, it's a date :)" 

Then they talked about their love for the animals, and she refers to what he said before that he loves birds and nature. 

Her uncle asked her to go swimming with him so she texted him, "I'm about to go swimming." 

He replied, "Send me pictures." 

A couple of hours later, she sent him the picture. She was wet and wearing her full body swimsuit like a diving swimsuit. He wasn't satisfied with the picture so he texted her, "Give me a full picture. I love the environment, it looks cool. What's the name of the hotel?" He thought that she is swimming in one of the hotel with her uncle. 

She then replied to him, "I don't have it babe, just this one. This is an apartment." 

He replied, "Wow. wow. Looks like a hotel. It's really cool." 

She replied, "Haha yeah... so what have you've been up to?" 

He was still on the topic, "Your uncle's apartment? Ok then, it's fine. You still look beautiful. You're having a chilled weekend."

She replied, "Well... it's not my uncle's apartment. My uncle has access to access the swimming pool only so we just use it hahaha. Yes, very chilled." 

He then replied to her, "I would be having lunch with some friends." 

"That's cool. Are you working today too?" - she replied. 

He replied, "Nope, I just want to have a good rest today." 

She then tells him that she got to spent the day with her friend who recently broke up with his girlfriend, so she spills some teas and tells stories with her good friend which for her it's equal to having a good quality time and asked him,"Aww thank you, baby...So Saturday is your day off?" 

He replied, " Not really, every time... but most times... You're done swimming?" 

She replied, "Yes. I'm waiting for the traffic to cool down at my uncle's house. Do you wanna call me?" 

He quickly replied, "When you get home. I'm kinda busy. I want to go get some stuff at the supermarket. I have been cleaning up." 

She was confused as to what time he would call her, so she texted, "At 12 o'clock?" 

And he answers, "Just text me when you get back home." 

She agrees with him and said, "OK, will do x" 

A couple of hours later, she texted him, "Heyy... I'm home. Are you free?" 

He replied, "Would give you a call in a jiffy." 

She agrees with him, "Ok." 

At midnight, he finally called. They talked about their day and about what she's doing at her uncle's house. They also talked about their future. Like their relationship future and etc. 

After a while when they're done calling each other, she texted him, "Still thinking about our conversation hahaha...Btw, it would be great if you could also follow me on i********:. I know you are not active but it would be great. :)" 

There's no reply from him for about three hours. Then at 3:39 AM, he replied to her, "Sure, I will." 

She then replied to him, "Thanks baby." and added, "Hey baby. I'm awake." 

He then followed her on i********: and she texted, "Thanks for following me on i********: :)" 

He texted, "You're welcome baby. How was your night?" 

She replied, "It was peaceful. It's still 4:58 AM here haha... I don't know why I'm wide awake. How was your day?" 

He then replied, "Probably because you had me in mind." 

She replied, "Yeah... true. And then you're online, so that confirms it. Should we do another call? I love your laugh it's cute."

At this stage, she is longing for his calls and become addictive to him. 

With a serious note, he replied to her, "Baby." 

Curious about what he's going to say, she replied, "Yes?" 

He then replied to her, "I would call you. Tomorrow." 

She replied, "Wow. That's a long time. Are you busy at the moment?" 

He texted, "Yes, kinda." 

Then out of nowhere, she asked him because she genuinely wanted to know because she still in disbelief that he chooses her out of thousands of women in this world, "I wanna ask, why do you love me? :) My ex can't answer this question and we've been together for sixteen years. So it's an important question for me. And we've been together for two weeks and you said you love me but I'm wondering why." 

He then didn't answer the question but instead, he asked her, "Before I answer the question, do you drink or smoke?" 

She is confused as to why he asked that question so she just simply answered, "Nope... I'm allergic to both. Why did you ask?" 

He texted, "Arrgghh... nevermind." 

Up to this day, she still wondering why he asked that question to her. But she texted him, "Now my question..." 

He replied, "When we talk tomorrow, I would give you an answer." 

She then waited and waited for his calls... to know her answer to her question. So she checked up on him again after he went to the church, "Are we going to talk on the phone today?" 

He then answered her, "You know, I'm a very busy person. I really don't know how it would turn out. But I would text you." 

She replied, "Ok... Just wanted to know so I'm not waiting..."  

With his reply, she's a bit disappointed because she's been waiting for his calls the whole day but then again, back to her relationship mantra 'Patience on this relationship.'  

He then texted her, "Just do take good care of your self and have a nice day." 

She is still curious about as to why he choose her over thousand of women in Atlanta, Georgia so she texted him, "Babe, I wanna ask, why me? Because I feel there are so many beautiful girls at your town, in Atlanta and why me? When you find me on i********:, what draws you in? It would be nice if you could explain to me." 

Because her logic still tells her that their relationship is too good to be true and her heart is saying how lucky she is to know him. 

He then replied, "Sure. When I come back from work, we would talk about that. I would tell you all about it. I'm busy at the moment. I'm not back home. When I get back, I would text you. So tell me what you've been up to?" 

She feels that he waved her question but she still answers him, "I'm watching The Outlander Tour in Youtube and eating ice cream. Because it's 8:30 PM here, so I've done church in the afternoon, ate lunch, and came back home... a bit boring today hahaha..." She then attached her ice cream picture to him titled, "Netflix and Chill" as a joke. 

He then replied, "Wow. I see you going great. Would call you tho. When I get back." 

She replied, "Yeah, just keeping my self busy... Hope you enjoy today x"

He replied, "My day is going well... It's still morning over here..." 

He then attached her his Spotify song of 'Andra Day, Rise Up' to her and added, "Motivates me to keep pushing on and never give up." 

She quickly replied, "Aww..." 

She then asked him, "Do you have any more pic from you?" 

He replied, "No, I don't have many pictures...If I happen to take some pictures, I would send to you. 

She texted, "Ok." she then sent him a song 'Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) - From The Sea On Which He Walked by Hillsong UNITED'  from her Spotify playlist. 

He replied, "Would check it out. Thanks." 

She then asked him "How was church?" 

He simply replied, "Service was good." 

It's midnight to where she lived so she texted him, "Alright, I'm going to bed, would probably wake up at around 5 or 6 AM, if you wanna call me, I'll be awake at that time :)" 

He replied, "Ok baby. Love you." 

She replied, "Love you too." 

An hour later, there's a false fire alarm at her apartment corridor, so she texted him, "I can't sleep." 

She added, "Are you in your friend's house?" 

Then the fire alarm stopped. 

He answers, "Yes. I see. It's fine now?" 

She quickly replied, "Yes, it's fine. It's just noisy at night. Ok, I let you be... see you at 5 or 6 AM. At your timezone, it would be around 5 or 6 PM." 

He simply replied, "Ok baby." 

This is the call that she's been waiting for. So she wakes up at 4:27 AM and waiting for his calls but there's no sign of him being online. 

She desperately texted him, "Hey baby, I'm awake. How are you? Are you going to call me?" 

She waited for three hours, no sign of him. 

So she texted and pour her heart out while still understanding him, "Baby, I understand that you are a very busy person, but when we set a time to call, I'm expecting you to be there. I did wake up in the middle of the morning just to see we can connect but you left me hanging. So I don't know what to do anymore. Like are we doing this or what? Because you are more active when we first met but when I waited for you, there's no sign of you. So this is hard. I don't know anymore. And I did wait for you like I've wasted the whole day just to hear your call because we did have to talk about several things that I asked questions about. I'm sorry, I'm feeling this way, but I just want to straight-up honest with you. Like do you still want me? Thank you."  

Disappointed, she puts her phone down and goes back to sleep. She then continues her day as a normal day, and tried to not worry about him. 

Back and forth, she looks up her phone, still no sign of him. 

She had an appointment with her shrink today. So she just went for it. While she was with her shrink and while she's not waiting for him, there are three missed voice calls from him.

While she's talking with her shrink, she texted him, "Hi babes, sorry I'm with my shrink at the moment." - like nothing happened but inside her heart, she 's like, "I waited for you and there you are, finally, but I choose to not care. I think I've learned my lesson today." 

Multitasking, she wants her session with her shrink finished quickly so she can call him. 

He then texted her, "Ok then, text me when you're done." 

She simply replied, "Ok." 

At 4:19 PM, she texted him, "I'm home now..." 

He begins to call her, not long after she texted, "I'm home...", so turns out he has also waited for her. 

On the phone, he told her that he had headaches and also explained all the questions that she asked him before. It was a long good forty-five minutes call. He explained everything to her and saying sorry multiple times. Explained why he hasn't been able to call her, and they also talked about honesty and values. 

After the call, she sent him a link on how to cure his headaches, "There you go... https://youtu.be/JO2JWbHeXdY "

He then replied to her, "I'm on this right now." 

"Cool, hope you get better :)" 

He then texted her, "Thanks for yesterday. Hillsong is the bomb." this is because she sent him a song from Hillsong. 

She replied, "Agree, no worries x" 

Selah. 

At midnight, she suddenly feels the urged to ask him about a video call. She feels it's time and she wants to take the relationship seriously. 

"I wanna say something but I don't want to give you more headache, so I will wait until you are healed." - she texted. 

He then answers, "What is it?" 

She answers, "Also about us, I want to take things seriously with you and I know you do too. I also need to know if you are okay with us to video chat sometime later, the next time we call? I really want to see your face and I think it's time. Do you want to see my face too? You don't have to hide anything from me because no matter what happens, I will be here for you. I want you to know that even though you are busy, you are always on my prayers and I'm available if you need to rant over or just to see my cute face x. Love you and can't wait to see you live on the video call." 

She then added, "It's about a video call the next time we call :) I think it's time." 

And to her surprised, he texted her, "Really don't have to stress over this video call thing. I thought we are done with this. I said I would call you on a very good day. We are to see live. I'm coming to Indonesia." 

Her heart troubles. She added, "I know, but I want to see you first before we are seeing live so I can know you better? I've been waiting for the right moment to ask you about this video call, I'm sorry if it causes a problem x." 

And then he replied, "IT'S YOU that sees it as a problem. As I said, I would call. Please don't stress."  

She learned to shut up this time, "Ok I won't." 

Disappointed over what he said, she ignores her feeling.
