Orion's POV
I stepped into the room awkwardly and quietly, trying to get my mind off what I just saw, but it wasn't long before Grace broke the silence.
She was charging down the stairs the moment she heard the door slam. Her eyes were red and her makeup was stained, her face was imprinted with an angry expression.
"Where in the world have you been?" she snapped standing arms crossed at the foot of the staircase.
I didn't answer her right away. I just went past her into the living room where there was some distance between us. But of course, she followed in whining and yelling.
"Where have you been all this time? You vanish without saying anything again, why are you doing this to me!!"
I turned to her. "Are you going to act like you're the victim here?"
