Chapter 8

"Father, you must have that wrong. Who are they for real?" Shemar's shaking his head.

"Shemar is right." Kaimana chuckled, "Father, be serious, who are they?"

"Father, you had us fooled for a few minutes." Moon laughs, then she stops laughing when Namakaeha says, "he was serious."

"Now you have to worry is the other two can be trusted or killing them, Alika said, looking at Shemar and Kaimana.

"Seems like my sexy husband and I were most definitely fated to be together." Kaimana kisses Shemar's cheek and takes Emrys from him. "Young man, I hope whoever we go against waits until you're older."

"Damn, I wasn't expecting that. I thought the other two would be Alessio and Alika's pups. Now that we know who the Banshee is, she will be easier to find.

"A lot easier than you know. Oh, I know where the Bryant woods and the cemetery are. Also, where the Bryant family is resting. " Kaimana looks at Alika.

He shook his head, waving her hands, and looking at their father.

Kaimana mouths, "I have to."

"s**t. We're not too old not to get a spanking." Alika wipes his forheand the lows at the floor.

Namakaseha cut his eyes at Alika and then Kaimana. "What have you two done that I've told you not to do?"

Everyone in the room looks between Kaimana and Alika

Shemar leans close to Kaimana, "I Nani, the way father is giving you the I'm about to beat your ass look, I believe you and Alika are in trouble."

She nods, "Yep, big times." Kaimana looks at her.

Shlioh's also staring at her. "Spill it."

"Why are you both looking at me? Alika was there too." Kaimana points at her brother.

He points at her, "But it was your idea. You took me there."

Kaimana waves her hands. "Okay, it was my idea. But I didn't put a gun up to your head to make you go with me."

"Kaimana Shlioh Momoa Iwaliani, you have some explaining to do." Namakaesha folds his arms. "Go ahead.

"Darn, Kai, Alpha said your full government name," Alessio is cracking up because this brings back memories when they were children.

She narrowed her eyes, looking at Alessio, and says you're enjoying this," through their link. "Salem, Massachusetts.

"Yep." Alessio chuckled.

"Salem, Massachusetts. I chose that cemetery because the city is known for having more than two hundred witch trials. That was between 1692 and 1693. Only thirty were found guilty. I take it that Zillah is one of the thirty. Fourteen women and five men were hanged. Five died from diseases while waiting in jail without a trial. One man was tortured because he refused to admit he was a witch. He wasn't a witch or warlock. He and the leader of the witch hunt were in love with the same woman. The woman didn't want anything to do with the leader. The leader used the hunt for revenge against the man." She looked at her Father hoping he wouldn't ask her any more questions.

Namakaeha and Shlioh are looking at each other.

"How do you know all this ?" Lalani asks, looking at her confused.

Alessio and shushing her.

"Right, Kai, how do you know?" Moon yells.

Kaimana was ignoring them when her father asked her the same question.

Alika shook his head, thinking, "We almost got away with it. Alessio and I have to talk to our mates about their mouths.

"I was testing out a new power and thought it would be the perfect place. "Kaimana looks away from her Father "Anastasis."

Moon and Lelani are repeating, "anastasis."

"I knew it. You can resurrect people." Shemar says, but wonders why she wants to bring a stranger back to life. "Who did you go there for?"

Shlioh walks over to Kaimana. "Daminao. You went there for him. Why?"

"I wasn't going to keep him. he came to me and said he needed to talk to me. But something kept interfering with our connection. I thought it was about you and who had taken you. But it was about Semas Luthor, who was the leader of the witch hunt. Daminao warned me that Semas wasn't human; he doesn't know what he is, but he isn't human. One day, he would come for us. Daminao didn't know when or how Semas would come. Father, I know you told me not to play in cemeteries becasue there who knows what doors I could unknowingly open. But I had to go. I hope you understand, and forgive me for disobeying you."

Alika points to Kaimana. "You forgot to tell them about the woman who came to you. What did she tell you? That one day, you and she will meet and fight side by side. You'll know when it's the right time. Then she disappeared. I don't know if she was dead or not."

"Back it up. We'll get to that in a minute. Damiano. Who is he? " Shemar gives Kaimana a stern look.

"Damiano was my great-grandmother and grandmother's familiar. He was a Siamese cat, but once his services were completed, he eward was to be human." Shlioh looks at Namakaesha, "Semas Luthor, now that is a name I haven't heard from in centuries."

"Neither have I. You two are still in hot water for playing with dead people. Who knows what creatures doors you open and let out?" Namakaesha cut his eyes at Kai and Alika.

As soon as her parents are out of the room. "You sold me out so damn quick."

"There wasn't any need for both of us to get into trouble. It didn't go as I planned." Alkia is looking at their parents walking upstairs.

"Let it be known if I went down, you were going down with me," Kaimana says as she's also looking at her parents.

Shemar hugs her, "hugs her, Nani, this powerful three propervy still has soem holes that need to be filled. We can't lt out son turn evil by those fuckers."

"We won't, babe. Let's see if I'm right. She looks at their son. "Emrys forcefield."

A forcefield appears anf cover everyone in the room.

"I meant for him. But this will work." Kaimana's thinking.

The magic baby has imprisoned us." Moon's thumping the forcefield.

Shlioh and Namakaeha enters theor private den, neither one can believe their children defied him. Namakaeha wishes they were kids, so he could punish them. Right now, they need to know what Semas Luthor is up to. The last he heard abbything about Semas, he was living in up north or a northeastern state, but that was decades ago.

"Maybe it's more the story about the woman they loved. What Semas used as an excuse but went after Damiano becasue of his connection with my family. Sklios looks at a picture of Emrys, Kaimana, and Shemar. It was taken a couple of hours after Emrys was born.

"I was thinking about that. Since Damiano was human, he wouldn't have known exactly what Semas was. But if he was still a familiar. I wonder if Semas is in any way part of the Jikinikis. That's just a guess. Every damn time I think we'll have some peace, some bastards come at us. This s**t is getting old. " Namakesha points at the lamp and blows it up.

Shiloh looks at the lamp, "I've never been fond of that lamp. Don't forget the other one. What are you thinking?"

"s**t, I forgot about Bronte's birthday thing tonight. Tomorrow night, you and I are going hunting. Hopefully, we catch something worthwhile. Namakesha blows up the other lamp.

Hunting sounds good. It's been a long time since we've done that. I believe I know exactly where you want to start." She waves her hand toward the broken lamps, causing them to disappear.
