Chapter Twelve

1809 Words
Jasper Lucas Johnson and I had always been friends since childhood, and as we grew up we realized how we had a lot of things in common; be it our interests or our thought process. Although I do admit that I was a lot more eccentric than Lucas could ever be, well, if his dom and sub relationships could pass up as normal that is. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I noticed Kiara as she waved at me before Lucas shut the box. He then revolved the box around a few time, the stage engulfed with a puff of smoke. I"d seen Lucas do this trick a dozen times to know what was going to happen. When he opened the box, Kiara had already disappeared replacing by a tall blonde assistant. A strong feeling of disappointment dawned upon me, among other emotions, but mostly I was seething with rage. Kiara had taken the stupid bait that Lucas had laid out for her. I clenched my fists on the chair, successfully plastering a cool smile on my face. Needed to keep my head clear. I had thought Kiara was a better judge of character and to think she had gone ahead and believed the type of bullshit that Lucas fed her kind of made me wonder if she was just another one of those dumb whores I used to have in my life. I didn"t want to believe it, but that"s what she was making me think. It"d all been another elaborate game. A test to see if Kiara was finally blending into the new lifestyle or if she still wanted out, and it was pretty clear Kiara hadn"t learned her lesson. She was supposed to deny Lucas"s offer of helping her out, but she agreed to it which meant some punishments were needed to be given; new rules implemented. The show ended and the audience roared into loud cheers and claps. Lucas bowed and the curtains descended. I strode out of the auditorium and made my way towards the backstage room. I entered the room to find Lucas seated in the makeup room, Amy stranded in his lap topless. His hand squeezed her breast and the other hand held her close to him, his lips locked with hers in a passionate kiss. They either hadn"t noticed me walk in or were ignoring me on purpose. I was betting on the latter. I walked across the room and opened the door leading to the props room downstairs where I was positive I would find Kiara but when I entered the room, I just saw Lucas"s assistant, Jen putting the things back in a chest. When she saw me, she dropped what she was doing. Clearly, she was intimidated by me. "Where is Kiara?" I asked her. Jen swallowed staring at me. My instincts told me something was not right. "Kiara, wherever you are come out now." The silence was the only response I got. I scanned the cozy room. "I asked you a question, Jen. Where is Kiara?" "I don"t know." She said, her voice barely a whisper. According to the plan, Kiara was supposed to be trapped in the props room where she should have fallen from the stage when she pulled the lever during the trick. Kiara would think Lucas was helping her escape but in reality, he was going to keep her here so I could find her and drag her home. This time I had a far bigger punishment planned out for her. I turned the little ring around in my finger, but it had stopped working which meant she had either taken the collar off or gotten rid of it entirely with someone"s help, and that someone could only be my best friend. I needed answers. I turned on my heels and went back upstairs leading to the backstage room where the room was filled with moans and groans. My anger had surpassed boiling point by now. "Lucas, where the f**k is Kiara?" I asked him. Lucas placed a quick peck on Amy, and turned his bored gaze towards me. "You"re a f*****g c**k blocker as usual. What"s gotten up your ass?" He placed Amy beside himself on the love seat and tossed a t-shirt towards her, buttoning up his own shirt. "You were supposed to keep Kiara in the props room but I can"t find her there, where did you take her?" I asked digging my hands in my pockets. Lucas had a knowing smirk on his face and I didn"t like that. "She"s gone." I stared at him incredulously. "What do you mean she"s gone? Where did she go?" "I don"t know. After she slipped into the props room from the stage, I told Amy to open the emergency exit and she let her go." "I don"t have time for jokes, Lucas." Lucas laughed. "Wish I was joking, but I"m not." I stared at him for a good minute, thinking that he would declare this was some joke, but that never happened. "That wasn"t the plan." I said, my hands were shaking. "Don"t you understand? Kiara is going to be punished for misbehaving again and plotting against me. You promised me you would help just like old times." Lucas"s gaze turned hard. "Do you remember Violet, Jazz?" "Violet?" I tried to rack my brains. "You don"t remember about the girl who died because of you? The girl you shot and let her bleed in the woods!" Lucas"s tone turned menacing. "That was five years ago." I reminded him. "What does that game have to do with anything?" Lucas had his fingers balled into tight fists. His face had turned red, I thought the vein in his forehead was about to burst. "That was not a game, Jasper. You took the rifle from my home and went hunting a girl while she ran around my property. WHO THE f**k GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO KILL HER?!" I chuckled. "It was a mistake. I didn"t kill her on purpose and you know that. It was Dylan who pulled the trigger." "I don"t f*****g care who pulled the trigger, it was your damn idea." He said. "So now this is you getting back at me for something that happened five years ago? Since when did you start feeling all emotional about toys?" Lucas gritted his teeth. "Violet was not a toy. I loved that girl." "I thought we were friends. You want to ruin our relationship because of some stupid dead girl you can"t get over?" "Friends?" Lucas laughed, "As far as I know, I tried to become your real friend in hopes that eventually you"d get the f*****g help you need. But, it never ends does it? Playing these stupid childish games, kidnapping women, toying around with them, stealing and killing your friend"s girl. It doesn"t stop at this. If it weren"t for me, nobody would want to be anywhere near you, Jasper Lockhart." My head hurt and it was ready to explode. I literally saw red. This usually happened when I was mad. Lucas knew how bad my temper was and yet he was testing me in the worst way possible. "I knew killing her wouldn"t do any good, you"d go right ahead and steal another beautiful toy, although I knew you can"t handle when a toy slips out of your fingers so I gave her freedom. She may just ruin you, Jazz. It"s time to stop this before it"s too late." "So I take it you won"t tell me where she is." I narrowed my eyes at him. Lucas walked to his mini bar, poured himself a drink and raised the glass of scotch towards me. "Cheers to Kiara"s new freedom." "Okay, have it your way then." I said, and everything happened too fast when the raging nerves in my head began to burst as I grabbed Amy by the back of her head and bashed it against the wall hard, once. I heard a loud thump sound followed by a blood-curdling scream and I pounded her head one more time. Her blood was on the wall as her eyes rolled back, her body slipping towards the floor. "AMY!" Lucas reached for Amy and sank to the floor with her in his arms. "You f*****g bastard, how dare you?!" "Amy, you should watch the stairs next time, darling." I couldn"t keep myself from laughing. Her head was matted with a cake of blood, I knew she wasn"t dead although I wanted to kill her, I thought this was enough to teach Lucas a lesson not to mess with his best friends. "JENNY! Call the ambulance NOW!" Lucas yelled out to his assistant as she rushed into the room. I fixed my blazer jacket as I started leaving the room. "This should teach you not to f**k with me, Lucas." He fixed his glare at me. "you"re going to pay for this, Jazz." I strode out of the room without so much a glance in his direction, making my way out of the house, running my fingers through my hair casually. A few people were rushing towards the backstage room. I knew Lucas wouldn"t press charges against me, because if he did, some of his dirty secrets were going to spill out too, and that would stir up the media which would cause good ol" Lucas trouble, not to mention a big blow to his reputation. I tapped the driver"s side of the car and ordered the chauffeur, Morgan to take the passenger side. He appeared confused at first, but then decided to obey my orders rather than to question me. I slid into the driver"s side, and pressed the button for ignition. The engine roared to life, I pushed the car into drive and maneuvered the car out of the driveway with a loud screech. I felt Morgan stiffen in his seat. My hands were shaking on the wheel as I took a sharp turn. "Sir, you may want to reduce the speed." Morgan said in a meek voice. "Don"t tell me what to do Morgan unless of course you want to be pushed out of a running car." He remained silent as I drove through the streets like a loose manic fresh out of prison. I"d wasted enough time talking trash with Lucas. I realized he"d done it on purpose so he could engage me in frivolous conversation so that Kiara would have time to get out of here ASAP, and that had bit him in the ass. Nothing he didn"t deserve. Now I needed to find Kiara soon. I gritted my teeth hard and my hand on the wheel tightened. And she better hope I didn"t find her, because if I did, god knows what I would do to her. This was going to be a long night.
