Chapter 7The Sky-ship’s rear door opened as the transporter drew near, the sensors having registered its proximity. The entrance was only just wide enough to accommodate the vehicle, so Pia selected minimum speed, her fingers hovering over the controls in case a slight change of position should be needed. A jolt indicated the front wheels had locked on to the guide strip. She held her breath as a grey shadow slid over the bubble leaving her encased in a metal cocoon. Hands trembling, she waited what seemed an age for the rear wheels to lock into position and the door to begin its descent.
