Chapter 4. Jake's Anger

Bella is very confident because she thinks Jake is a man who is easy to seduce. When she arrived at the car park, she was surprised to see Jake's luxury car. During her date with Kevin, she could only ride in an old, beat-up car, so she couldn't wait to get into Jake's car.

"Wow, I didn't expect your car to be this good! I was just curious about Kevin's reason for saying that you were poor. It looks like he doesn't know anything about you," said Bella.

"I don't know. I don't think he really knows his ex-brother-in-law very well," responded Jake.

Jake opened the car door for Bella. Actually, he was just pretending to want to take the woman to his apartment. Honestly, he was too lazy to linger or play with that materialistic woman. However, he must look convincing in order to get his revenge quickly.

Not long after, Kevin suddenly came over to them with an angry expression. His face was red with anger when he saw his girlfriend getting into Jake's car.

"Why did you go with him?" Kevin exclaimed as he grabbed Bella's wrist roughly.

"Ouch, It hurts! Let me go!" Bella shouted.

Kevin, who was afraid that Bella would be angry, slowly let go of her hand. Now his expression was like a chick losing his mother—very sad.

"You didn't answer my phone. I was worried and looked for you everywhere. I accidentally saw you walking with this jerk to the parking lot. So, I followed you here," explained Kevin.

"You must be very scared, right? Did he threaten you to come with him?" he said while holding Bella's arms.

In this position, Bella became confused. On the one hand, she certainly wants to be closer to Jake because she is curious. While on the other hand, she doesn't want to be separated from Kevin.

Suddenly, Bella thought of an idea to trick Kevin. She is indeed a cunning woman who has a thousand and one ways to stay safe, especially now that she has a specific goal. Bella pulled Kevin away, so Jake couldn't hear their conversation.

Meanwhile, Jake could only watch the two of them while guessing their plans. Of course, Jake had to patiently wait for Bella because he had the goal of teasing his ex-brother-in-law's girlfriend.

"Listen to me carefully. I deliberately went with him to find information. You must be curious about why he suddenly became rich, right?" Bella whispered.

"Is that true? Don't you mean to betray me?" Kevin asked to confirm.

"Of course. Now you just pretend that I just dumped you. You can do anything to make him believe it," suggested Bella.

Without thinking, Kevin immediately cried emotionally. Bella, who already knew that Kevin was starting to act, left him.

"Bella, why are you doing this to me? You can't dump me like this," shouted Kevin.

Jake is not a fool, and he knows that Kevin is acting. However, he still carried out his intention to bring Bella to the apartment.

"What's wrong with him? Did you break up?" Jake asked.

"That's how it is. Actually, I'm fed up with him because he always acts excessively and is too possessive," Bella answered.

"Really? Then, will you still come with me?" Jake tried to confirm, even though he already knew the answer.

"Of course, why not?" Bella answered.

The two of them got into the car and just drove away, leaving Kevin alone in the parking lot. On the other hand, Kevin wiped his fake tears. Actually, Kevin was a little unwilling if Bella came with Jake, but he had no other choice.

A few minutes later, Jake and Bella arrived at the apartment. Bella's first impression was amazement when she saw the luxury apartment with complete facilities. Actually, this was the first time Jake had ever entered the apartment. However, he acted as if he had been there many times. Luckily, the apartment was clean; there wasn't even the slightest dust.

"Every day someone comes to clean the apartment. Yes, you know I don't have time to clean it myself," said Jake.

"No wonder it looks very clean and neat. It must be very comfortable to live in a luxury apartment like this," said Bella. Jake just smiled when he heard Bella's words.

"What would you like to drink?" Jake offered, even though he didn't know what was in the kitchen and refrigerator in the apartment.

"Whatever. I can drink anything," Bella replied.

Feeling a little anxious, Jake walked towards the kitchen. Luckily, the kitchen was filled with food and various drinks. He was also quite surprised to find several bottles of expensive wine in the refrigerator.

Jake and Bella finally chatted casually while enjoying wine. They talked about many things until Bella told a little about her life.

"Actually, I used to live in poverty. My mother was a widow whose husband ran away. I kept trying to improve my standard of living and finally succeeded in becoming a bank teller," explained Bella.

"Then how did you meet Kevin? Is he a bank customer?" Jake asked. He brought up the conversation as naturally as possible.

"I met him when I was in college. He chased me tirelessly. He also always gave me whatever I wanted," explained Bella.

"But that's just the past, and now we have broken up. You saw for yourself," she added.

Jake was actually starting to get bored with their conversation. He also asked permission to take a shower to avoid Bella for a moment; after all, he also felt that his body was sticky because he hadn't cleaned himself all day.

Bella, who is cunning by nature, took the opportunity to find information. She entered Jake's room and checked several cupboards and even the contents of the man's wallet.

"Wow, I didn't expect him to use a black card issued by the bank where I work. What a nice coincidence!" grinned Bella.

"What if I borrow it for a moment to check on the real owner of this card?" she muttered.

Of course she was curious because Kevin said there was no way Jake could get rich overnight.

"What are you doing?" shouted Jake, who had just come out of the bathroom.

Bella's eyes widened perfectly. She was shocked because she was caught holding Jake's black card.

"N-nothing. I was just looking. I didn't mean to steal. I was just curious about your black card. Ah, I mean, I just wanted to hold it," Bella reasoned.

"Tsk! Do you want to check who actually owns the card? I know you work at the bank. You must have hidden intentions, so you tried to tempt me and come with me here," guessed Jake.

Bella was confused to death. She walked over to Jake and tried to persuade the man. It cannot fail in a short time.

"Jake, listen to me. I didn't mean it like that. I admit I was wrong, but I don't have such cunning thoughts," Bella persuaded.

Jake, who couldn't stand the charade and Bella's attitude, became furious. He slapped Bella's cheek so hard that the woman fell to the floor.

"Stop tricking me with your cunning plans if you don't want to regret it! A b***h like you, I can do anything to destroy you with the wealth I have now." Jake glared at Bella, who was holding her cheek, which was sore from his slap.

A second later, the man grabbed the woman's chin, then turned to Bella's neck and grabbed her while saying, "I'm not a stupid man like my ex-brother-in-law who was easily fooled by your cheap tricks!"
