Chapter 9. Samuel's Shock

"Video and data of embezzlement of funds at Golden Health Insurance?" Jake's eyes widened.
"Wow, this is really crazy. How did you get this big secret data?" he asked in disbelief.
"It turns out the power of money is really this great!" he added in amazement.
His desire for revenge became increasingly passionate. The plans that were forming in Jake's brain for the future became clearer. Now he even felt an extraordinary sensation, even though his revenge efforts had not officially begun.

The three masked men who attacked Jake finally came to see Kevin. Of course, Kevin was very angry because his men failed to carry out his orders to finish off Jake.
"What's the point of me paying you so much money if you fail in the end? You're really stupid; you're really incompetent when dealing with children who usually only focus on studying!" said Kevin.
"How dare you call us stupid? He's terrible at fighting, but he has many professional bodyguards. Is he really your poor ex-brother-in-law?" snapped one of the masked men.
"Professional bodyguard? Tch! Don't be kidding! How could he have something like that?" said Kevin in disbelief.
"Now give me back my money that has gone to you! Your work is incompetent and disappoints me." Kevin raised his hand toward one of the masked men.
"Don't dream! You should increase our payment because it is not in accordance with the agreement," said one of the masked men.
"Look! Our bodies have a lot of wounds because we were beaten by those guards you said were poor! You've tricked us!" Said another masked man.
"Damn it! You've failed, but you don't know how to ask for additional payment," cursed Kevin.
The three masked men looked at each other, then they walked over to Kevin. They also beat Kevin mercilessly because they felt very angry and annoyed.

Day turned into morning, and Jake was ready to start his duties. Even though he worked overtime last night and had an attack, he was still in good spirits.
"Ah, damn! My appearance should have been more perfect today." Jake noticed and touched the scar on his lip from being hit by a masked person last night.
"It's no problem, Jake. You're still handsome even though your lip is split," said Jake confidently.
After going through so many bad things, of course Jake didn't want to continue being sad. Jake is not the Jake he used to be. He didn't have time to cry about his bad luck and the failure of his marriage.
Everything needed to acquire Golden Health Insurance is ready. Jake headed to his car in the parking lot and was about to go to the company where he used to work. He couldn't wait to see the expression on Samuel's face when he saw him later. Moreover, the person he once looked down on came as someone who wanted to acquire his company.
"Let's see how that bastard reacts when he sees me coming in a different position like this!" Jake said it excitedly.
The journey to the company is not that far; it only takes about ten minutes. Jake's luxury car attracted the attention of many people in front of the company building because they couldn't count on the fingers of those who used the limited edition car. Jake quite enjoyed the gazes of people focused on the car he was driving.
"It turns out being rich is fun. I'm like the main character in a novel or movie," chuckled Jake.
Jake got out of his luxury car, and at the same time, one of the office employees came over to him.
"Jake? That's right, it's you!" The thin man looked at Jake from head to toe.
"Hi, Ben! How are you?" Jake asked while smiling and waving his hand. He is known as a friendly and cheerful person.
"What happened to you? A few days ago, Mr. Samuel said that you were fired because you embezzled funds, but now you suddenly appear with a luxury car." Ben looked very curious.
"You'll see. Aren't you sick of being led by trash like Samuel?" Jake said.
Ben couldn't deny Jake's words. However, he just smiled awkwardly while scratching his head.
"I have to go in now." Jake patted Ben's shoulder, then left the man.
Jake walked confidently through the lobby of the company building. Everyone looked at him because he exuded a very different aura from before, especially when he was still working at the company. Several employees in the lobby were talking about it.
"Isn't he Jake?"
"I'm not sure, but from his face, he is indeed Jake."
"Look at his appearance; his suit and watch are very expensive. He doesn't look like an ordinary employee."
Along the way to Samuel's room, Jake often smiled. He knew everyone was watching him. He is increasingly confident in making his boss and Valencia's affair cry blood.
"Is Mr. Samuel there?" Jake asked the secretary who was in front of Samuel's room.
"Have you made an appointment beforehand?" The female secretary asked Jake again.
"I don't need to make an appointment; I just need to see him now. Is he in the room?" Jake asked once again while looking closely into the secretary's eyes.
"Mr. Samuel is in his room, but you can't meet him without making an appointment first," emphasized the secretary.
"I don't care! Soon, your boss will probably change," grinned Jake.
Without paying attention to the prohibitions, Jake walked towards Samuel's room. However, before he had time to open the door, Samuel appeared, and he was quite surprised when he saw him.
"What are you doing here? Didn't I fire you the other day?" Samuel snapped.
"How dare a trash who seduces other people's wives scream at me?" said Jake sarcastically.
Samuel's eyes widened perfectly when he heard Jake's words. This situation was apparently noticed by several employees there.
"What are you saying? Don't talk carelessly!" Samuel argued.
"Apparently you still have shame in front of your employees," Jake sneered while chuckling.
Samuel's anger overflowed even more because Jake laughed at him. He was about to hit Jake in the face, but he still restrained himself so that his image as the CEO of the company would not be tarnished.
"What are you doing? Quickly call security to get rid of this crazy man!" Samuel ordered.
Jake interrupted the people by turning his head back and raising his right hand high.
"Don't call security! I'm here on important business as the biggest investor in this company, not for personal reasons," said Jake.
The employees who were about to call security thought better of it. They just looked at each other because they were confused.
Suddenly, Samuel burst out laughing at Jake's words. He couldn't believe at all that the man who was crushed in front of him the other day was a big investor.
"Hey, don't dream! You? Investor? Have you gone crazy after being divorced and kicked out by your ex-wife?" mocked Samuel.
Jake laughed too because he felt this situation was funny, plus soon he would see Samuel shattered into pieces. He has prepared everything carefully and will just wait for the results.
"You're the secretary, aren't you? I've sent you an email. You can see the details for yourself," said Jake while looking at Samuel's secretary.
Jake's gaze turned to Samuel. "I have acquired this company because your performance has been very bad. You committed a lot of fraud, which made the company lose money. The other day, you even slandered me for embezzling funds and then fired me," he explained.
"Don't be kidding! You think I will believe it," said Samuel.
"S-sir ...."
Suddenly Samuel's secretary spoke in a trembling voice and made everyone in the room turn their gaze towards him.
