Chris POV
“Dina, these are my parents, Robert and Julia Miller.” I turning to her, pulling her chair out so she can sit down.
She looked as shocked as my parents were. Staring at me like I had four different heads.
I sit down and clear my throat trying to break up the silence that just occurred.
“It’s very nice to meet you.” Dina says while reaching out her hand to my parents.
My dad scoffs, “Is this some type of joke? You are not getting out of this wedding. I thought I made that very clear.”
“This is not a joke; we were seeing each other up until the engagement. We tried to break things off, but we found she was pregnant. I am not going to give my child and forget about them for the sake of the marriage. That is not fair to her, me or the baby.” I responded grabbing my wine the waiter had poured for me.
He turns to look at Dina, “Listen, I don’t know how much he is paying you to do this act, but I’ll triple it. Leave Now.”
Frustrated I look at him with a strong voice, “This isn’t a goddamn joke.” I take the pictures out of my suit pocket, “This is your future grandchild. I’ll be damned if anyone tries to get in the way.”
At this point my father is yelling, his voice is showing his anger at this point. Every person in this building is staring at. “YOU WILL GET MARRIED ON SATURDAY, I DON’T CARE IF SHE IS PREGNANT OR NOT.”
I look over at Dina as she has her head down in shame.
“Maybe I should go.” She says starting to stand up.
“N- “I am cut off by her hand waving in the air.
“It’s fine really. I will find a way back home. We will figure out what to do about the baby when their born, and we can make arrangements from there.” She turns and walks to the entrance grabbing her phone out of her purse.
I look at my parents full of disdain. “You will get your wedding, but I promise you this.” I looked straight into my father’s eyes. “It won’t be the wedding you want.”
My father immediately smacked me across the face.
“How dare you threaten me? I create you and I can break you in any which way I like. I will see you Saturday at 3pm to walk down that aisle or you can forget even being an heir to my company and fortunes.”
I walk out the restaurant looking for Dina, but she is no where in sight. I tried to call her phone but failed as it goes straight to voicemail. I look for anyway to try and contact her, but I realize I do not know enough about her to even begin where to start.
I drive to her apartment, only to find her either ignoring me or she is not home.
Again, my life is in shambles as I head home to figure my next steps and what I can do.

Dina POV
I am at lost for words. My child’s grandparents are not even happy. They do not even care about the baby or how their son feels.
Standing on the side of the building, I just fall to my feet and let the tear flow down.
I am Pregnant and Alone.
I clutch in my hands shaking as I call up Shannon.
“Hey, how did dinner go?” She asks as soon as she answers.
Her voice is comforting but the question just causes more tears to swell up and start falling. Hearing this, she immediately asks,” Where are you? I’m coming to pick you up.”
I manage to choke out the words “Oaklands”, before hanging up the phone.
I gather myself together, standing up and straightening my clothes, before looking over to see his parents walking to his car.
His father notices me immediately.
“Dina.” He shouts, calling me over to them.
“Yes?” I say trying to hide the sobs that are in my throat.
“I’m sorry for how I reacted, however this marriage has to continue.” He states and I nod my head. I turn to walk away, “He won’t stop you know.”
I turn back at him confused on what he just said. “What do you mean?”
“He won’t stop trying to get out of this marriage unless you give up the baby.” I hear the gasp from his mother, who clearly does not want that.
“With all due r4espect sir, I want my child. This is my child with or without him. I will raise this baby. I did not ask him to get out of the marriage, that was on his own. I only told him, so he had the choice to be involved if that’s what he wanted.” I calmly state. Uncertain of what he is going to say.
He looks at me with a content face, one that could win a poker match if he played. He nods as if he is contemplating his next moves. “I have an offer for you then.”
I shake my head, “I don’t want any money, I have enough to raise my child.”
He laughs, “Think of this as compensation. You have two options; I will give you 10 million dollars to walk out of his life start a new life and make sure my grandchild has everything they need. Or Chris will be cut out of the family forever. He loses the company and my fortunes.”
I am dumbfounded. Literally. I go to open my mouth and he stops me.
“If you choose to start a new life, you must tell Chris you are giving up the child. Never contact him again. I can falsely documents and have them sent to you regarding an abortion. Once he gets married tomorrow, I will set up the accounts and have everything transferred and settled. However, if you tell him any of this conversation. You will destroy his life, his career, everything he owns will be taking from him.”
I nod because I do not know what else to do.
I am lost.
I see Shannon pull up, “My ride is here, since Chris drove me. I must get going. Thank you for speaking with me and have a lovely night.” I turn to walk away.
“Wait,” He says pulling something out of his wallet. “Here is my card, I would have a document ready by morning, if you chose to take my offer please call my personal number.”
I grabbed his card and walked straight to Shannon’s car.
I get in the car and the minute she tries to say something, all the sobs just came loose.
