Chapter 8

The elders,Drake and his parent's,Mirinda and her parent's meet at the covens grand hall at the Castle.They were discussing what is to happen.Mirinda and her parents were so happy.

Elder Malcom asked.

Children tell me,have you told anyone about you two being mates?

No i haven't told anyone.Said Drake with skepticism in his face.

Me neither.Said Mirinda.

Well i do have a best friend and i had plenty of opportunity to tell her but i couldn't.I don't know why but it never occurred to me to tell her.Said Mirinda being thoughtful.

The elders looked at each other it's like they were having a silent conversation with each orther.

It's ok child,but please refrain from telling anyone outside the Castle and we promise no one will say anything to the outsiders of this Castle.

Why shouldn't we elder Malcolm?if i may ask.Said Drake.

There are witches,wizard and warlocks who are power hungry out there they want to have more power and in order for them to do that they kill all those who are mated to each orther.In that way the coven ends up with no one who is mated.The coven fall's bacause the ones who are greedy will be on top.

You see why it is necessary for you and your mate to complete the bond.

I see...said Drake.

Are you saying they will kill us if we said anything?asked Mirinda panicking.

I'm afraid so child.Said elder Malcom.

Drake saw the panic on her face and he held her hand to comfort her.Letting her feel the comfort through their bond.

Mr and Mrs Grant we would like for Mirinda to move here in Castle where we would keep a close eye on her.She will be safe here the Castle has some powerful protection spells.And she will be close to her mate.Elder Malcom said.

Of course she will move here they said.

Their union will be performed this coming full moon.The moon goddess has been good to us as you know how difficult it is for us to find our mates.We must not waste anytime.

I was fricking out,them saying there are orthers who want to kill us.My mind was running all kinds of scenarios that i didnt hear that i was getting mated this coming Thursday.

Drake could see all the emotions on my face.

Hey..he made look at his face.

Don't worry im here for you ok.

I breathe a sigh of relief.

My parents were both happy and sad for me.Happy bacause i found my mate and he didn't reject me.

Sad bacause they are losing their only child.

Drake took my hand led me to the garden.

I was looking at the beautiful garden i didn't even notice that was on one knee..

He took out a velvet red small box from his pocket and opened it.

I was tearing up.

When did he have time to go and buy that?

I always wanted to come talk to you but everytime I tried something always comes up.Either from my side or yours.

So you can imagine on how long i wanted to talk to you and ask you out.

He said chuckling.

What I'm trying to say is its not just now that i want to be with you.I've always had my eyes on you.I know you thought i was a play boy because you saw all the girls who are always hanging around me and my friends.The truth is I've never touched none of them.Im pure as i know you are.

Yes i will Drake.I said crying.

He put the ring on her finger and it was a perfect fit.And he stood up.

I Drake Remington accept you Mirinda Grant as my mate.

And I Mirinda Grant accept you Drake Remington as my mate.

Everyone clapped their hands as we were kissing.I didn't even see them joining us.
