The icy wind whipped my face and chilled me to the core. I stood watching him, my hands trembling. The gun was pointed right at me.  "Tell me where he is and I will let you go" he shouted over the noise of the crashing waves beside us.  "I told you, I don't know!" I cried. "I told you, he left me" "I don't believe you"  "I'm telling the truth" I stuttered, as the rain began to fall, each drop stinging my skin. he sighed and placed the gum back into his holster. He sauntered towards me, and I stumbled backward, tripping in the sand. He grabbed my hair, pulling me to my feet. I stumbled after him as he dragged me to the water. He trudged through, the waves washing over him, unphased. The water below freezing in the middle of July was locking me up.  "I'm going to count to three. and then you will tell me...or I will make you. one... two... three!" "I, don't. know!" I panted looking him in the eyes. His face is stoic as he kicked my feet out from me and plunged my head into the water. The saltwater burned my eyes. The cold was like needles to my brain.  Gasping as he pulled me from the water, he released his hold on my hair and hurried back to the shore.  "About time you showed up!" he called to the figures hurrying towards us.  "let her go, Evan" the deep voice called. Adam. he was here. he came for me.  "I'm done with her, don't you know? she doesn't know anything. You, however,  You however I need" Evan hissed throwing himself towards Adam.  In an instant, Adam lunged back, colliding with Evan.  "Adam!" I croaked, willing my legs to move me from the icy waters. As my feet hit the sand I stumbled, hitting the sand. My body screaming at me for warmth.  Adam had Evan pinned to the ground, laying punches into him, the other dark figures were now in an all-out brawl, but all I could focus on was Adam.  "Adam!" I called louder, reaching out to him. He turned, glancing at me, just long enough for Evan to flip him off and gain the upper hand.  I felt rough hands pulling me to my feet as my eyes fixed on the scene before me.  "Ivy! Come on!" a familiar voice yelled, shaking me to get my attention.  Seth was pulling at me, trying to lead me away but I stood frozen. I couldn't leave. I couldn't leave him again. Frustrated, Seth grabbed me throwing me over his shoulder. I kicked and I screamed.  He looked at me, his green eyes meeting mine, just as Evan drove a knife into his side.  He fell to his knees and the last thing I saw was his lips, mouthing "Ivy." as the weight of it all came down on me.
