Chapter 14

Adairia’s POV

I am so proud of myself and how I handle myself around Milo now. Yes, I still think he is the handsomest man I ever seen but as far as my feelings go they are mild now. I finally came to terms with the fact that we will never be together and I’m ok with that. We were having a great conversation in the car on our way to the airport. I’m glad I can talk to him so freely like we are best friends.

I had to laugh when he asked me about all of my luggage’s, no I don’t plan on moving to Atlanta but I do plan on taking a much needed break. I been spending so much time focusing on my business that I stressed myself out so bad to the point where I had to go to the hospital for high blood pressure but nobody knows about that visit accept for my brother Julian he the one that found me passed out on the floor. I made Julian promise not to tell anybody that I was in the hospital and in return he made me promise that I will take better care of myself hence the reason for a vacation.

When I went to the hospital they said I passed out do to high blood pressure, being dehydrated and not eating properly, now I have to take high blood pressure medicine until I can get it back under control, eat properly and drink more water.

We had about another forty five minutes before we make it to the airport, I decided to read one of my favorite romance books. I love reading romance books because I feel like I’m in a fairy tale world with them, I always dreamed of having a big wedding and walking down the aisle to my husband.

Forty minutes later we pulled up to the air shaft, “We’re here Ms. Adairia.” Albert said from the front seat. “OK, thank you. Let me wake up Milo.” I put my hands on his shoulder to shake him gently, “Wake up Milo, we are at the air shaft.” He still didn’t budge, so I shook him a little harder and he still wouldn’t wake up. I pushed him in his shoulder super hard and he hit his head on the window. He looked around like he just been attacked, “What the heck Adairia? Why did you do that?” I started laughing because he looked like he wanted to kill me, “I shook you gently at first but you wouldn’t wake up so I had to do something.” I said, I couldn’t hold my laughter; his face expression was priceless, if looks could kill I’ll be dead. “Now get out the car, we are here at the air shaft its time to board the plane.” I said while exiting the car laughing. “I’m glad you think my pain is funny.” He said with a pout while getting out the car. “Aww you look so cute when you pout.” I said and pinched his jaws like granny use to do to us when we were kids. “Now I’m going to have a major headache because of you.”

“Aww come here let me kiss it and make it feel better.” I said in a baby voice and reached up to bring his head down to my level. I gave the side of his head a soft kiss and pushed him away from me playfully, “There all better, you big baby.” I said while laughing. “Hey, what’s taking you guys so long?” Ash said while walking off the air plane. I ran to him and gave him a big hug, he picked me up and spun me around, when he finally put me down I said, “Brother dearest over there acting like a big baby because he hit his head on the window.” I said while laughing. “Don’t say it like it’s not your fault that I hit my head.” He said giving me a deadly look. “Well you should’ve woke up the first time.” I laughed getting on the plan. “Watch out Dairia I’m going to get you back for that.” He yelled. I got on the plane still laughing and got comfortable in my seat while the guys grabbed all my stuff. I felt like a princess sitting on this big plane and getting cater to, if I’m not careful I will get use to this life style.

Milo’s POV

When we boarded the plane I couldn’t believe the sight I seen. While we carrying all her luggage’s and bags she is in the chairs with her feet propped up sleeping like she’s a true princess. She looked cute sleeping but still we working hard and she relaxing. ‘I should go over there and slap her upside her head to get my payback’ I thought but I decided against that. Asher had other plans though, he went over there and kicked underneath her feet to make them fall to the ground and to jolted her awake, “What the hell Ash?” she said irritated. “How dare you be on here sleeping and we carrying your heavy ass bags, you’re not royalty.”

“Y’all men you got it, I’m sure it didn’t hurt you to carry my bags.” She said rolling her eyes. I sucked my teeth; I swear these women in this family and friends group are so damn spoiled, every single last one of them. I sat beside her and put my seatbelt on, “Put your seatbelt on Dairia, we bout to take off.” She did as she was told and relaxed into her seat.

The air plane ride was pretty smooth, I slept for the first couple of hours and then woke up and did paperwork for the remainder of the plane ride. I wanted to get a head start on the paperwork for I wouldn’t have so much to do after I meet with the Berkley’s because after the meeting I will start putting my plans into action of getting me and Adairia together.

I liked her playful side earlier even though she probably thought we were playing as brother and sister but I wasn’t. When we pulled into the air shaft and she was trying to wake me up I was pretending to be sleep because I wanted to see how far she would go to wake me up, I didn’t expect her to get violent and make me hit my head on the window, I really wanted her to kiss me awake but obviously that didn’t happen. Her lips was so soft when she kissed me on the head, I wanted to turn my head and kiss her on the mouth but I couldn’t do that in front of Asher, he would’ve looked at me like I’m crazy. I don’t want anyone to know about my feeling for Dairia before she knows about them first. But first I have to see where her and Marco stand in their relationship, not that I care because I will do anything to make Adairia mine and if that includes fighting some random guy from college I will because she is worth it.

Forty five minutes later we made it to our hotel, coincidentally we all booked our rooms at the same hotel. When we was checking in with the front desk clerk she was so shamelessly flirting with Asher and I while Adairia was standing right in front of us, like she didn’t know if one of us was with her or not. Adairia was laughing at the ladies actions, “Sorry to disappoint you lady but my brother Asher here has a girlfriend but Milo here just got out of a relationship and is completely free. He’s looking to mingle, I’m sure you can help him with that.” She said with a smile on her face. My mouth almost hit the floor, I couldn’t believe she just through me under the bus like that, now I know I’m going to have to work harder to get us together. The lady was pretty but not as pretty as Dairia, I only had eyes for her. “So what do you say cowboy, do you want to mingle with me later?” the lady said so shamelessly. I gave Asher and Adairia the side eye because they were laughing at my expense. There wasn’t anything funny about this situation. The girl didn’t have any morals, its no telling how many guys came through here that she flirted with. “No ma’am I’m good, I don’t want what you are offering. Now can you please just check us in and give us our room keys.” She gave me the evil eye but did what she was told, a few minutes later we was handed our keys and walk to the elevators. Once the elevators doors was closed I gave Adairia a piece of my mind, “Dairia what the hell were you thinking saying that stuff to that lady?” she laughed like it was the funniest thing in the world. “Aww don’t be such a big baby about it I was just playing.”

“Well that lady sure didn’t think you were playing. She basically offered herself up on a silver platter.”

“And you should’ve took her up on her offer, it’s not like you’re in a relationship anymore. Have some fun Milo.” I just kept quiet after that I couldn’t believe her, this isn’t the same shy Adairia that I grew up with, she has definitely changed but as far as me having fun I plan to, she just doesn’t know it yet but I’m bout to have a lot of fun with her. The elevator came to a stop on our floor and we all went our separate ways. Just wait Adairia I am coming for you, I thought in my head as I walked into my room.
