“Lyana! Magat!” I called out. No one answered me except for the echoes of my own voice. A nervous tapping began between my lungs. Feeling the sweat breakout of my forehead, I reached for the Angelic blade strapped across my back. “Lyana! Magat! Where are you?” My eyes swept through my immediate surroundings as I took slow steps forward. The shadows that engulfed the length of the valley threatened me with its darkness, but I continued walking. All the muscles in my body felt tense as I braced myself for whatever may jump at me from the looming shadows. The air was silent, it was as though even the legion of demons were gone.
