Hot, dry wind whipped my face as I dashed through the expanse. My leg muscles were tearing from the immense speed that I exerted. I did not mind the dull pain as I knew what I was doing was the culmination of all our endeavors. This is it. There's no stopping now. There's no going back. Vivid images of our adventures swam freely inside my mind leaving no room for the dark voice to penetrate. I was single-minded. Nothing mattered to me at the moment except for closing in the distance between me and the giant pillar of spinning flames. A loud yell escaped my lips as I continued to run. The roaring of flames drowned my screams and the noise made by the demons jumping into the Convergence. I was almost at the base of the tornado, but none of the malevolent creatures paid me any attention.
