The Kraken's tentacle, sensing my approach, snapped back. But I was much closer than I was earlier. I grunted as the tentacle's momentum swung my body around and flung me off my feet. I managed to keep my balance, but I was now far from the monster's head. I stood up and looked around for the sword.
