Epitropi is back

Sixty-six: Epitropi is back The stage play went well up until the very end. It left the audience a significant impact as the others were crying while the others were clapping their hands for a round of applause. If there’s one thing that the Academy was decent at, it was the clubs. It does not matter if one’s from the lowest class. As long as they had a passion for what they were doing, they could get recognized even without the help of Senior Tatiana’s potential. Before the day of the stage play, Kronos would always visit the other booths and see how the others were doing whenever they had free time. Of course, along with Astian, he noticed that the festival was yet another typical school festival. The students were hanging out with their friends, playing different kinds of games, and entering different types of booths. It was as if the Academy did not have a secret that they were trying to hide. With that, Kronos and Astian would have a peaceful stroll around the campus. And when it’s the drama club’s turn to participate in the event, they give their all, and as a result, the audience acknowledges their talent. They were also closer with the other members to the point that they forgot about the late Senior Jurgen. And just like that, the one week event had come to an end with an afterparty at the drama club for their successful stage play. The following days were peaceful, and the routine was the same. After class, they would go to their respective classes, and since there were still yet events in the far future, there was nothing to do at the club except for practicing their acting skills. On the other hand, senior Steffi and Senior Tatiana were busy with making a new script in advance. And Kronos’ daily routine was changed when Wednesday arrived. As they would always be the last ones to arrive at the classroom, the others would always greet them in a playful way for being early. However, they were so excited in their own seats that they did not even notice Kronos and Astian arriving on that particular day. Even when they had already settled down in their seats, the others were still in a daze as if something good had happened to all of them. Hence, Kronos scowled. “Huh?” Seeing this, Astian leaned closer towards Kronos and asked him with his usual warm expression on his face. “Oh, are you wondering why everyone is excited?” Even Astian was in a good mood. It was as if he was the only one who was not aware of what was happening. Did he miss an event or something? If he did, then Astian would too. After all, they were never apart from each other. However, that was not the case since Astian appeared to be aware of what was happening. After a moment of pondering, he came up with only one conclusion, he totally forgot something. And he also had one way to find out. “Yes.” Kronos nodded. With that being said, Astian looked at him with a face that could not contain their excitement before answering in an excited tone of voice. “It’s because today is Wednesday!” “Ah,” Kronos replied blankly as he gave Astian a pat on the head to prevent him from sulking in case the latter would notice that Kronos was not interested. What else would be there during Wednesday? Of course, it’s epitropi. Come to think of it, the other kids would occasionally whine about how they missed epitropi whenever they had the moment to do so. And Sir Samael, who was tired of hearing the same thing, finally announced that they would participate in the epitropi once again. Because it does not concern Kronos in any way, he did not take note of it up until when Wednesday arrived. Hence, as a result, he felt left out. Because Kronos already knew what they were anticipating for, he looked around and eavesdropped with the kids talking in an excited manner. “I wonder what kind of Epitropi we would be having this time,” Naouii replied with a weird expression on her face as she looked at Asisi, who was sitting at the desk. With that being said, Yohan joined in to their conversation with sparkling eyes. “Right. Would there be corrupted monsters again?” It may or may not be an offensive comment. But at that moment, Kronos totally looked at Yohan as he imagined him being a dog because of his behavior. Well, the reason must be because Yohan’s a Lycan, so it should be a natural point of view. Snapping back to reality after being in a daze for a moment, Kronos found himself staring at Asisi, who was laughing obnoxiously as he crossed his arms and replied. “It can’t be helped because we are the only ones who could take them down.” At that moment, Kronos could see Asisi’s nose getting long, curvy, and sharp like of those in the cartoons he would accidentally watch during his missions. You could not compare both. It was as if you were looking at similar pictures. Kallen seemed to be having the same thoughts as Kronos that she looked at Asisi with one of her brows raised while her left hand was pushing Asisi down the table to let him sit properly. “You know how to boast, huh? More importantly, this is not your home, so sit properly!” With that being said, Asisi then stubbornly got down as he pouted. “Alright! Alright, I’ll go down. But what’s wrong with what I said? It’s not like I am just telling some bluff here~.” Kallen was about to say something when the door creaked and an adult figure showed up. “Oh! It’s Papa.” Asisi smiled as he followed the somewhat bad mood face of Sir Samael. Something seemed to be in awry. The good sir must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed for him to scowl while walking towards his desk. Hence, they were silent as they were considering what might have happened to Sir Samael. Of course, except for the carefree Asisi, who tittered before he talked to Sir Samael nonchalantly like how he usually talks to other people. “Papa, you’re late!” If Sir Samael was in a good mood, he would have let it slide. However, he was not in his best condition. So instead, he looked at them with a scowl and opened his mouth. “Hey, you brats.” Hearing this, some flinched as some were nervous. It seemed like they were part of the reason why Sir Samael was in a bad mood early in the morning. “Yes?” “I heard what happened at the abandoned building.” Sir Samael started. If it’s the abandoned building, then it was the day where they encountered the Alpha’s domination? But it was days ago, and the class thought that Sir Samael was aware of it. “From whom?” Aeria asked. Did some outsider report them? Did they let a witness live? Was that the reason why Sir Samael was angry because there was a living witness? With those thoughts and questions lingering inside their heads, Sir Samael replied with an answer. “Who else? From your seniors, Stephanie and Tatiana.” So it was Senior Steffi and Tati. The question was that why on earth did they report it to Sir Samael at such late. Did they perhaps, tried to hide it too but then were caught? When the class replied with a silence, Sir Samael then continued talking. “But that does not matter. The real issue is that you never told me about this.” Well, they did plan on telling Sir Samael about the issue. But then, the Senior lent a hand and explained to them everything. Had they been ignorant and it happened again before reporting it to Sir Samael, no one knows what might happen. Hence, to cease Sir Samael’s anger, Mikhail spoke up for the sake of everyone in the class. “It was not a big deal anymore, Papa. The seniors told us everything that we need to know anyway.” With that being said, Aeria looked at Mikhail and nodded before she shifted her gaze towards Sir Samael and continued with what Mikhail was about to say. “Besides, you’re already busy as it is. We can’t just bother you.” It would be unfair if Sir Samael would not hear them out. More importantly, they just wanted to be a little bit independent because they were depending on Sir Samael with anything. The seniors did no harm to them. Instead, they helped them too so they could not still grasp with what was wrong and why Sir Samael was angry at them. Hearing this, Sir Samael looked at the class and pondered for a moment. He was in the wrong. He got angry because the kids did not mention anything. If Sir Samael did not happen to eavesdrop when he passed by the classroom of the third year exi class, he wouldn’t know, and he probably would not know for the rest of his life. But he also did not listen to their side. Both parties were worried. The kids were concerned about bothering him while he was concerned about the kid’s well-being. Hence, Sir Samael let himself cool down as he heaved a loud sigh while managing the bridge of his nose. “Haah. Since when did this class a bother? I am your supervisor, so I need to know everything.” If they were just normal students, Sir Samael wouldn’t go and be ultra strict with them. However, the kids were the masters of the masters. They were candidates in ascension to heaven to become a god. They had a very heavy crown on top of their heads and along with that, was their responsibilities and other unique traits that only they had. That was why when it comes to them, Sir Samael only had two reactions. It’s either having high hopes or being sensitive to any changes in them. Since the class was silent once again, Sir Samael then continued with speaking. “More importantly, I will be teaching you something that you should know next week. This should be taught in the next semester, but since you encountered something like the Alpha’s Domination, I got permission to teach all of you in advance.” The kids were supposedly be learning everything about being the masters of the masters in the second semester. However, the new batch of exi had a special case. One of them seemed to have strong potential and aura that was enough to trigger the Alpha’s Domination. Usually, when it’s only months after their manifestation, they would only be a little superior to the normal person, like a baby who knew how to talk earlier than the babies around them. But then, after a few months, Kronos had reached the level where he could surpass those of his seniors. Everything about Kronos was a mystery, but Sir Samael did not report it to the higher-ups nor made Kronos a test subject for being unique. But partially, it’s his fault that they would be doing an advanced lesson. “So expect a hectic learning schedule next week.” Sir Samael added before picking up a chalk and looking at the blackboard. With that being said, the others groaned as the others simply obliged. “Yes, Papa.” It was not as if they could change Sir Samael’s mind. Also, would it be nice to know something in advance? They could make it as an advantage in any emergency. After writing something on the backboard, Sir Samael then replied as he pointed to the title of their lesson for that day. “Good. Now, let us start the class.” And just like that, the lecture started in the morning, had a lunch break before starting again, and then it ended in the afternoon where everyone was already mentally drained. “Let’s wrap things up here. Come with me to the hall to see your epitropi.” But when Sir Samael mentioned the word ‘Epitropi,’ the class suddenly got the energy and abruptly cleaned up their desks and rushed towards the entrance of the door to line up. “Okay!” Seeming to be their routine, Astian and Kronos got out of the class when they were the only two left, along with Sir Samael. When Sir Samael spotted him, it was as if he remembered something that he called him so suddenly. “And Kronos.” Hearing this, Kronos tilted his head towards the direction of Sir Samael before he replied. “Yes.” “You have a separate epitropi, so you need to go to the student council.” Sir Samael replied. “...” ‘What the f**k. What the f**k. What the fuck.’ “Okay.” ‘Eros, what the f**k are you up to?’
