The Story of Lord Dio

1508 Words
Forty-eight: The Story of Lord Dio It was also the same as their first Epitropi when Sir Samael purposely looked down upon them, and they were not able to do anything but to be upset. They already learned their lesson. That was why Mikhail and Astian led the team of being some overconfident students. The others wanted to play along. Hence, they showed off their innocent expression, and the others did not pull it quite well. Take Ajax and Kronos, for example, which remained blank. Seeing their expressions, Sir Samael looked at them with a smirk as he replied. “Hah. Let’s see. Very well come along. The carriage is waiting.” After saying that, he turned his back and then started to march towards the ground where carriages were on standby. Since every class would be leaving the Academy for their every epitropis, the field was full of carriages. Nonetheless, Sir Samael seemed to know where their carriages were located, so he walked and turned to some directions with confidence. The Exi was reluctant because it seemed that they were merely going in circles. But they still placed their trust in Sir Samael up until they arrived at a place with few carriages on standby. While the Exi was busy inspecting the carriages, Sir Samael cleared his throat and announced. “The Academy prepared five carriages for us to use. Group yourselves and get in the carriage if you want to finish it quickly.” Hearing this, Mikhail, as a mayor, faced his classmates and started to assign people to each carriage. “Alright, then there would be one carriage with five people. Would that be okay?” “Of course! The more, the merrier!” Luca raised his hand and replied with energy. The others nodded and agreed as well. Hence, Mikhail was about to open his mouth and talk about who’s who. However, Sir Samael joined into their conversation with a furious face. “Mikhail Patton, must I remind you that a carriage must only contain four people.” Seeing this, Mikhail flinched as he looked at Sir Samael and chuckled in a nervous tone of voice. “Pardon? Papa, what do you mean..” There is no way that Mikhail wanted to be in the same carriage as the serious-looking teacher! But it seems like the heavens were not with Mikhail that day. Sir Samael shifted his gaze towards one carriage and then started to walk towards it while calling for Mikhail. “Come with me. Since you are the mayor, I wish to discuss school matters with you.” Of course, Mikhail wanted to be with his classmates. That was why he tried to negotiate. “But papa, I want to talk to my classmates-” But Sir Samael merely glared at Mikhail. Hence, he heaved a sigh and looked at his classmates. “-I understand! Guys…” “Poor Mikhail, we will hold a funeral at the carriage for you!” Asisi cried fakely as he waved a white handkerchief on his right hand. Hearing this, Mikhail sobbed in a fake manner as he replied. “How could you say that? And where did you even got that white handkerchief...” “Let’s go and get in the carriage now.” Sir Samael replied in a most threatening way, together with a glare that could kill a person. With that being said, everyone panicked and got into the carriage without much thought. It was first come, first served. If one carriage was already full, Astian and Kronos would move to the other. And then finally, everyone got into their respective carriages and started to have their way to the forest of the Great Dio. “Now that we’re in the carriage already, can we talk freely?” Yohan suggested with a shy expression on his face. There were four people inside the carriage, as Sir Samael pointed out. If one were to be standing on the carriage door, one could see that on the left side seat were occupied by Kronos and Astian while on the right side were Yohan and Ajax. In other words, Kronos and Astian got the opportunity to sit in the front quarter because they got in before Yohan and Ajax could. And that left the rear quarter for the last two. Anyhow, the seat does not matter. As long as they were out of Sir Samael’s sight, they could breathe comfortably. It does not apply to the fours of them only, but to everyone in the Exi, except, of course, the unfortunate class mayor. On the seat of Kronos and Astian, Kronos extended his arms as he wrapped it on the back of Astian while combing the latter’s hair using his finger. And on the seat of Yohan and Ajax, Ajax was sitting on Yohan’s lap. Since Yohan was bigger than the others, he ate up a lot of space. The skinship in their carriage seemed to be nothing considering that Ajax was a clingy type. On the other hand, Kronos just had the habit of messing with Astian’s hair anywhere and anyplace. Astian, whose hair was being caressed by Kronos’ bare hand, smiled at Yohan and replied in a friendly tone of voice. “Yeah, it’s fine! Yohan, Ajax, do you guys know anything about our second epitropi?” It was not uncomfortable, rather, it was kind of relaxing. That was why Astian never shoo Kronos away whenever the latter would do something on his head and hair. “Hmm. Nothing much.” Ajax pondered as he replied, snuggling on Yohan’s arms. The two parties actually had a similarity. In terms of being comfortable and used to skinship, no one finds it weird or so. While it’s true that the others do not see it as uncomfortable, they also do not seem to want a skinship towards other people. So it would be to imagine that on Sir Samael and Mikhail’s carriage, it’s awkward. The other carriages were rowdy, while the carriage Kronos was using was somewhat having a battle of who was more clingy. Astian and Ajax were silently having a war on who was more clingy, while Kronos and Yohan were not aware of a single thing. Which was why Ajax answered with a lie. It was actually the opposite. Ajax knew the second epitropi like the palm of his hands. But since he still had not seen any expressions from Kronos except for a blank one, he was silently anticipating for his reaction. Yohan, on the other hand, seemed to be unaware of Ajax’s intention that he naively beamed and replied. “Ah! We’re going to the forest of the great Dio, right?” “Yep, yep!” Astian nodded as he leaned on Kronos’ shoulder. Of course, he would not let Ajax be the winner. At that moment, Astian seemed to have a fighting spirit. On the other hand, Ajax wanted to shut Yohan’s mouth as it was meant to be a surprise for everyone. But then it was partly his fault for assuming that Yohan was like Astian, who can read Kronos’ mind and intention. Therefore, he merely nuzzled on Yohan’s chest and closed his eyes. With that, Yohan thought that Ajax wanted to sleep. Thus, he looked at Ajax and placed his hand on top of his ears so that he could sleep well. And seeing this, Astian suppressed a snicker. Ajax gave up!! Even after the building battle, Yohan and Kronos were still unaware of the situation. Because shortly after that, Yohan replied to Astian with a friendly tone of voice. “Then I might have a clue on what our epitropi would be!” That was the chance given to him to be close to his classmates. Why would he be meek and awkward? With that being said, Kronos and Astian looked at each other as the former halted from brushing the latter’s hair. It’s better to be prepared, right? If they have a bit of clue on what would their epitropi be, they will be one step ahead. They may be prepared for anything, but it’s better to be ready for a specific thing. Hence, after a minute of having a staring contest with Kronos, Astian shifted his gaze towards Yohan and excitedly replied. “Can you tell us?” Hearing this, Yohan beamed and nodded. “Of course!” A long time ago, there was a married couple that was living a happy and contented life in a county that held neutrality towards everything. When the madam of the house officially announced that she was carrying the heir of the countdom, everyone celebrated, especially her husband. And when the time of labor came, it was in the middle of the cold winter night and under the pale moon. The countess must have thought that because the light of the moon illuminated the beauty of his son, that it was a boy with silver hair. However, the next thing the countess knew, it was not an illusion.
