Corrupted Octopi versus the Exi Class

Twenty-six: Corrupted Octopi versus Exi Class Sir Samael's answer struck all of them. How could a teacher say that cleaning is not easy? Was he really looking down on what potential they possibly hold just because they were assigned to the lowest class? Even the warm hearted Mikhail scowled as he spoke up with still a nervous expression as he was speaking up towards a teacher for the first time. "What Asisi said was true, Papa. Do you think that we'd be having a hard time cleaning? A flick on the hand, and we're done." Right at that moment, Sir Samael finally stopped walking. He halted as he turned around to see his students and replied with the same expression. "Are you guys left in the lurch because you are in the lowest class?" "Who would f*****g not." Kronos abruptly answered. He, too, was uncertain as to why would Sir Samael be abrupt with the epitropi when they could do it tomorrow, counting the twenty-four hours duration. However, he just did not think about it that much as it had its own benefit, and that was to finish it early. None of it matters up until Sir Samael's answer entered his ears. He's definitely saying that they're too weak to clean it in just an hour. On the other hand, Sir Samael was a little amazed as it was the first time Kronos expressed how he felt about being at the Exi class. Hence, he smiled and observed all of them. "Hmm." After a moment, Sir Samael then turned his back again and started to walk as he talked to them. "Fine. Come with me and finish the epitropi. If you still would be ashamed of being at the Exi class, then I would recommend you to the other classes." "Otherwise, I will be setting a very much higher expectation from all of you. Seeing the confidence you had all." He added. They did not have any reaction. Everyone was silent as each of them did not know how to react to their teacher's words. And most importantly, they could not even ponder on how to react when a teacher with a trying-hard look on his face blocked their way. "If this isn't the great prodigy, Sir Noe." "I don't have time for you. Excuse us." Sir Samael replied as he bumped him and continued walking. With his attitude, the teacher gritted his teeth before roughly pulling him and started bickering. "Do you think you're being arrogant? Are you discerning this Academy as your playground? You graduated being the top student, yet you volunteered on handling the lowest class when people were expecting for you to teach the highest?" Right after someone touched him, he already snapped. However, he just held it in as he also was curious about what the other teacher would say. When Sir Samael found out that it was pure nonsense, his face darkened as his jaw clenched. "Haah." At first, Sir Samael calmed down his dark expression as he heaved a sigh. And then shortly after, the latter stepped forward to the other teacher and leaned closely before he responded to the insults that he had a while ago. "I don't care if they were expecting something from me. It's not my responsibility to please you or whoever the f**k put pressure on me. If you get what I'm saying, don't ever talk to me again. If you want to have a long life, that is." He volunteered. Of course, as it was for the sake of the other teachers. Yet he was being mistreated because of their jealous nature? f**k off. With that being said, the teacher was left dumbfounded. Sir Samael also turned his back and started walking as he called out the class. "Let's go, kids." As they followed Sir Samael, each of them looked at the teacher as if he was an insect, but they did not really provoke him. When no one provoked the teacher, Asisi then snickered and looked at the teacher with a triggering expression on his face. "Heh? What is this? The teacher of the second to the highest class was scolded by Papa, the teacher in charge of the lowest?" If one wishes to see some action, there should be at least two people needed to push the button. And the other person together with Asisi, was, of course, the laughing Luca. "What a pity." That left the teacher feeling embarrassed as he clenched his fist and gritted his teeth. How dare Samael act all and mighty and even receive high grades without even giving all of his efforts? "Keuk… Samael, you bastard. I will destroy you someday. Just watch." On the other hand, Inoa laughed nonchalantly with her hands on the pockets of her blazer as she looked at Sir Samael with an amused expression on her face. "Wow, Papa, I never knew you could swear." If it's Sir Samael, with a usual serious expression that would only furrow his brow if irritated, swearing was out of their impression towards the instructor. Responding to Inoa's remark, Sir Samael pondered for a moment before setting his eyes towards Kronos. "Kronos taught me." Hearing this, Kronos flinched as his pupils shrank abruptly before he finally shook his head and replied with a stern, "No." 'What the f**k is wrong with this old hag? He's making me the f*****g bad guy.' He may be swearing all the time in his past life, but that was only because he was taught. And as far as he remembered, Kronos did not talk that much, albeit the good heart of people around him who would not mind it. Nonetheless, to think that he'd hear from Sir Samael that he taught him? That's very, very, VERY absurd. "He's telling you that you're making him the bad guy, Papa." Astian chuckled. Amazed by how Astian could tell, Sir Samael looked at him with an astonished look. "How could you understand him, Astian?" Astian and Kronos, who were used to the situation, both shrugged. "Perhaps, an ability of mine?" Just seeing what expression Kronos was making, Astian, too, was not that sure on how he could know what Kronos was thinking so smoothly. Perhaps it was an ability. Even though he was curious, it was nothing but a trifling matter. Hence, Sir Samael halted as he raised his hand and looked at the class. "Nevermind that. We're here. I'll come inside too because I am to supervise and to see all of your potentials. If you can't handle it, you can take an exam, or I'll recommend you and go to the other class." In front of them was an abandoned public restroom with moss all over. Perhaps it "s because the public restroom has long been rejected that it was releasing an eerie aura and disgusting smell. But it doesn't stop them from being triggered with what Sir Samael told him. "Haha, watch and learn, Papa. This will be easy." Asisi crept a smirk. Others then followed Sir Samael's lead and then marched towards the public restroom. Once they stepped foot on the entrance of the public restroom, a thought then came upon them. "Papa, where are the cleaning supplies?" Astian asked as he looked around. With that being said, Sir Samael whipped his gaze towards Astian as he raised a brow. "You don't need that." Luca asked, "Huh?" That was when they realized that the eerie aura that came from inside was much more stronger the moment they entered. "What's this ominous feeling inside…." Yohan anxiously asked as he looked around. Sir Samael then led the way deeper to the public restroom and then finally got to the end just to see a ginormous monster. "What the hell.." Not just a ginormous monster. It was, "A CORRUPTED OCTOPI?!" "Best of luck." Sir Samael tapped the shocked Kronos on the back before creating a barrier around the public restroom. Because of the noise that they made, the corrupted octopi woke up and screamed on top of its lungs. When the students were in front of the corrupted octopi, Sir Samael was leisurely sitting at a good view and was away from them. Best of luck? Even Kronos was shocked as soon as he saw the ginormous monster, even though it was the second time he encountered one. The monster in front of them was ginormous enough to wonder how it fits into the public restroom. It has eighteen tentacles and three eyes. Its mouth was also utterly disgusting. It became more sickening as soon as it showed off that sharp layers of teeth were inside it. When the corrupted octopi stopped screaming, it then wagged its tentacles, causing for the class to separate from each other and dodge the tentacles. How could they kill it when they were merely the lowest class? Out of frustration, Luca turned his head towards Sir Samael and retorted. "Papa?! What's the meaning of this?! Are you trying to kill us?!" As his gaze was not locked onto the octopi, the monster used it as an advantage and made a surprise attack towards Luca. However, Luca was not a senseless kid. While looking at Sir Samael, he raised his hand. And a second after that, a stone barrier was already in front of him, defending him from the attack. Seeing this, Sir Samael then took a glance at the stone barrier before he replied. "That thing won't kill you. Should I explain it to all of you in that state?" By state, he meant that everyone was busy dodging the corrupted octopi's tentacles and unreadable moves. "Wait! We could not possibly-!" Artem replied as his eyes were focused on the tentacles. There were eighteen tentacles, and the Exi class was merely consisting of thirteen students. If one's fortunate enough, a tentacle would come for their life. However, if unfortunate, two or three tentacles would chase you to the pits of hell. The frustrating part was that all they could do was to dodge. The reason was that first, it could possibly be out of their concern, and a high class genus with outstanding potentials might come. Secondly, they still need to consult the teacher-in-charge, which was Sir Samael. And lastly, they thought that they could not possibly handle a corrupted monster. While the teacher in charge was in the corner, observing them. "Alright, listen well while dodging the corrupted Octopi." Sir Samael clapped his hands. "Papa!" Everyone complained. Of course, they could not possibly do that, especially to Kronos, who was against three tentacles. Good was that Skia was assisting him without everyone knowing. On the other hand, Sir Samael pretended not to hear his students complaining as he pointed at the octopi with his usual serious expression on his face. He was not even bothered by the corrupted monster who was ambushing his kids. "That's your epitropi." "What? How is this cleaning?" Kallen retorted as she was trying to evade the attacks of the corrupted octopi and, at the same time, looking for its weakness. Despite being busy with the octopi, they still tried their best to listen to whatever Sir Samael would say in case that they could hear him give a hint on how to kill it. "You all said it yourself that your potentials were more useful than rescuing a. Prove it to me. Besides, can you clean this public restroom without killing the corrupted Octopi? The moss, cracks, and even the eerie aura of the public restroom were half an illusion caused by the corrupted octopi itself. As it considered this place its nest, the octopi created an illusion as a symbol of being territorial." Sir Samael pointed out. No useful information. Sir Samael merely stated how the public restroom came out to be in a disgusting appearance, but he never mentioned anything about the corrupted octopi itself. Moreover, the task that was given by them seemed to be not for someone who ended up in the lowest class. Were they being punished for being ungrateful and feeling ashamed of Exi? Even so! A punishment like handling an S-class monster was too much! "But it's an S class monster! A corrupted one at that! Epitropi like this should be given to the highest class!" Aeria replied without facing Sir Samael as she was busy with the tentacles charging towards her. At that moment, all they could do was to dodge every attack as they were still uncertain of what was happening.
