The Alpha's Domination

Sixty-four: The Alpha's Domination There were different kinds of peculiar people. Those who had normal potentials tend to act normal as they should. Those who have potentials that fit in the criteria to be a mage or a great mage tend to do to some crazy things. And those who manifested as the masters of the masters, they were the craziest person one could meet in their lifetime. "What? We can't miss the fun!" Asisi replied with a beaming expression as if he was excited about something. That reminds Kronos that it was Asisi who made the elixir. Since he and Ajax signed up for the herbology club, the Seniors tasked them to get an elixir through them as they were friends of the two juniors anyway. He must have told everyone and gathered them around to see if the elixir was working well or not. Without much thought, Kallen adjusted her glasses as she also answered the question of Kronos. "Right, I want to hear Kronos talking like a normal kid." While it's true that they could hear Kronos talking tomorrow at the stage, they just could not stay still when Asisi leaked that Kronos took the elixir. So they had to follow the Senior to lure Astian and Kronos to a secluded place. But of course, they hid their presence. The trick was merely nullified when Kronos tried to intimidate the Senior using his powerful aura. Kronos, on the other hand, felt like it was deja vu. Hence, he once again scowled. "I am normal as always. What are you saying?" Why were they treating him like he was just healed, although for the meantime, from an incurable disease? "What are you guys talking about? We're not normal no matter how you look at it." Ajax suddenly joined in to the conversation as he was riding on Yohan's neck. Ajax's words seemed to shake up everyone's resolve that they abruptly shifted their gazes towards Ajax and then asked, "Huh?" And with that, Ajax looked at them as he heaved a sigh. Shortly after that, he jumped out away from Yohan and then straightened his back while blowing off his fingernails as if some dust dared to land on it. "The normal reaction to seeing Kronos together with his bloody hands would be terrified. But I feel nothing but satisfaction." What Ajax said was true. At first, they were just curious to hear what Kronos would sound like if he were to talk like how they do too. But then, when Kronos released a threatening aura, they should have felt threatened no matter how close they were to Kronos. However, at that moment, it was as if they did not have the right to control their own emotions. As if it was someone else's emotion. When they realized that, they looked away and acted suspicious of what was happening too. Hence, Luca mustered up his courage to ask them despite the creepy conversation that they were having. "Did you guys not ever think of it like that?" "..." They could not open their mouths as they probably had the same thing in mind. It sure was weird. Because the more they think about it, the more it would not be presented as a mere coincidence. It was as if they should be consulting someone for their mind to be at ease. And that certain someone they had in mind was also the same person without a doubt. "Papa. We should tell papa." Inoa mumbled as she looked at them with a desperate expression on her face. Hearing this, the others felt chills. If it was any other day, they would not feel like that and let having the same thoughts in mind pass as they think that it was something remarkable. But when they had their own experience at that moment, the exi could not help but to think it was rather weird than extraordinary. "Yeah. Right. Haha." Luca replied as he laughed nervously. They sure needed answers, but it was not as if they could summon their teacher as they pleased. It was also the busiest time of the month that the last time they saw Sir Samael was three days ago. Hence, with their shoulders low, Mikhail looked at them and reasoned out the bitter truth that they did not have that much choice but to wait. "Well, we can't ask him now because everyone is busy with their respective clubs and tomorrow is the club activities event. So let's wait for the next day." Even if they wanted to consult Sir Samael so badly, the exi thought that it would be a burden to the other side's end. Hence, even if it's a tough road, all they could do was to wait. In the midst of their pondering moment, footsteps were coming in their direction as they spoke when they felt like everyone could hear them just fine. "Why bother waiting? We can tell you." With that being said, everyone cautiously looked in the direction where the voice came and asked in a furious tone of voice. "Who goes there?" If someone was snooping on the corner and was eavesdropping on them without having their presence to get noticed, it would be either someone on their level or someone higher than them. Either way, even though it was just mere words, the exi felt like they were not easy opponents. And they indeed were not an easy one. "Calm down. It's us." When they presented themselves. The others flinched as they scowled. "Who?" "Senior Steffi? Senior Tati?" While Astian and Kronos greeted them with confusion. The other one was walking in a carefree manner, and the other one was walking with dignity. It was, without a doubt, their seniors Senior Steffi and Senior Tatiana. The biggest question was that how did they know about the place and why were they hiding? "Oh, so the two of you know them?" Aeria asked as she shifted her gaze towards Astian and Kronos and positioned herself more comfortably. Because there was a stranger hiding, all of them immediately positioned themselves into battle mode. And when they realized that it was someone who knew of them, they then started to straighten their backs. Hearing this, Astian then smiled as he happily introduced the two of them to his other classmates. "Of course! They're our own Seniors! Third-year, Exi class!" Every bit of word that Astian spoke seemed to have a significant impact on each of them when they were in a daze for a moment, and then Shirley after, they replied in unison with the same shocked expression on their faces. "WHAT?!" It was a good thing that Kronos was prepared. Before Astian could break his eardrums, Kronos already covered them together with his usual expressionless face. Seeing Kronos' usual look, Astian could not help but to think about it earlier and thought that Kronos showing off other emotions was seriously scary. Still, at the same time, just like everyone, another emotion dominated him that was why he could not think of it well. Snapping back to his senses, Senior Steffi and Senior Tati were already surrounded by the exi as if they were admiring the same species. And with that being obvious, Senior Steffi laughed nonchalantly as she teased the juniors. "Pretty cool, right~?" The others seemed to not mind as they were fawning over the two of them. Hence, Kronos got into their direction and formally introduced the seniors to the juniors. "This is Senior Steffi, and this is Senior Tati." With that being said, the juniors with sparkling eyes greeted Senior Steffi and Senior Tati with so much enthusiasm. "It's nice to meet you, Seniors!" On the other hand, the two Seniors were not just overwhelmed by the cute juniors but also in a slight daze by Kronos speaking quite well. And with that, Senior Tati cleared her throat and spoke. "Ahem. We still have a moment to talk about it. If you kids wish to know-" Even before she could finish what she was about to say, the juniors cut her off with puppy eyes and replied. "We want to! Please tell us!" They could not possibly wait for Sir Samael. And it felt like they should not depend on their teacher that much. Were the two Seniors a sign that they have been bothering their teacher for almost everything when in fact, they could have someone to consult to other than him? Since they were seniors with the same situation, they should have more experience than them and were able to grasp anything that was foreign to them. Hence, the junior exi eagerly waited and was attentive to hear what the seniors would say. Nevertheless, contrary to their expectations, it was not a heartfelt speech but rather a plain and open answer. "Well, that's just because all of you are connected to each other!!" "..." "..." "..." "Senior Steffi, isn't that way too vague of an explanation?" Sarlienne chuckled nervously as even though she brazenly asked, she was still careful not to mean any disrespect. After all, it was their seniors. With that being said, Senior Steffi pondered for a moment. Her junior was right, it was rather broad, and it needed more explanation. What could she do when she's terrible at explaining? Thus, there was one solution, and that was to pass the explaining part to her beloved friend, Tatiana. And by doing so, Senior Tati looked at her with an irked face and face and heaved a sigh before looking at her juniors. "Alright, then how about this. Remember the mark you manifested during a certain day?" Hearing this, the juniors pondered and recalled when and what happened. And when they had a grasp of it, Mikhail answered on behalf of the class. "The day of the entrance exam, yes?" Senior Tati then nodded and explained. "That was when all of you became connected. It's because of the mark." After saying that, when the kids showed off a clueless face, Senior Tati then continued to explain with the best of her abilities.  "Being connected means that under normal circumstances, you kids feel like you could understand each other and get along well even though it was your first encounter." They also encountered the same event, and it was something unpleasant to their class that no one mentioned it anymore. It left a scar on the whole class that was why out of trauma, the two of them decided to help their juniors while it was still early to prevent the history from repeating itself. When Senior Tati heard no solid response but merely murmurs and pondering, she then added something to warn them moreover. "You may also react the same way to a certain provocation. So it is merely but a trifling matter if one could say." Yes, it was but a trifling matter. Just the thought of it made Senior Tati's hands to shake as she was slowly losing her resolve. She could not finish what she was about to say because it was opening a trauma that she could never overcome. The good thing was that she had a very good friend who never left her side. And at that particular moment, Steffi held her hands and continued what Tatiana was about to say instead. "However, for something like earlier, it's a serious matter anymore." If at the very least two people of the same kind, the masters of the masters, encounter something and one of them could not control their raging emotion, the other one could face the consequences of their action. It was truly a gruesome occurrence that was why they could never repeat what had happened before. "What happened earlier?" Yohan asked as he showed off a concerned expression. Because of his keen sense, he sure knew that it was something that could not be taken lightly. Because that gruesome experience is called. "It was the alpha's domination." The Alpha's domination. Like the other explainable things exclusive for the masters of the masters, for example, the altering of potential, the Alpha's domination was also only exclusive for them. It was mainly because every one of them with the same mark was connected in many kinds of ways. Hence, it's the reason why they could understand each other so well and be comfortable as if they have known each other since birth. It was the masters of the master's destiny, to begin with. It was an advantage because they could know how the other person felt and such. But along with advantages, there's always been some disadvantages. And that disadvantage was the Alpha's domination. It occurs when the balance of their emotions would go off. Just like earlier, when Kronos emitted a murderous and strong aura, the ratio was not there anymore. Instead, Kronos' emotion dominated everyone. That was why whatever he feels, the others do not have any choice but to feel it too. And along with that were consequences. Because Alpha's domination was foreign to them, albeit with the odd vibes it was giving, they still showed off a clueless expression on their faces. "Huh?" It would be a lie if they were not worried. The juniors pretended to not know, but they noticed very well that along with their conversation, Senior Tati was uncomfortable. No one just dared to talk about it since they felt like it would open a wound that was still yet to heal. Hence, it came up to their conclusion that the Alpha's domination was really dangerous. But sensing danger from that was not enough. They need to know more, and the only person who could tell them as of the moment were the two Seniors. Hence, they used all of the opportunity to milk down information from them as quickly as possible in order for Senior Tati to escape from the topic too. With that, Senior Steffi then started to explain in a serious manner. "See, all of you are connected. And if one of you would suddenly express a sudden high amount of emotion, it would dominate all of you." When she saw that everyone was attentive, she then continued. "For instance, when Kronos dominated all of you. That time that he released his aura, you kids also had a hard time, right? And at times like that, you should be feeling scared or overwhelmed." "But what did you feel instead?" Senior Steffi added. At first, they were silent. As if pondering and at the same time absorbing the information they got. And then, shortly after, they replied in unison. "Satisfaction?" They had the same feeling. With that being said, Senior Steffi nodded and continued to explain. "Precisely. Because Kronos was satisfied with what was happening at that time, everyone could not help but to feel the same way since he dominated all of you." Seriously, at times like those, Senior Steffi could really explain on behalf of her dear friend.
