Sixty-five: Stage Play

The junior exi, on the other hand, was overwhelmed by the information that they just learned. Hence, at that very moment, the exi was not sure on how to take it all. Hence, they set their comment with the Alpha’s Domination aside and commented on how they see Kronos instead.

"Wow, man! So you were that strong?!" Luca asked in an excited manner as he stared at Kronos intently. The same goes for the other kids. And because of that, Kronos felt uncomfortable, and he immediately hid behind the two seniors who seemed to have something to say about Luca’s comment.

Senior Steffi sure had something to say. Hence, after taking a quick glance at the cowering Kronos, she laughed for a while and then looked at the rest of her juniors. "I won't deny with Kronos being strong, but it has nothing to do with it. It was just because Kronos was the one whose emotion was on the loose that was why."

"So anyone could dominate, and I am not encouraging you this because it eats up a lot of energy. It could even eat up a life span." Senior Tati added in a serious tone of voice.

Maybe the reason why they were still taking the Alpha’s Domination ever so lightly was that they were unaware of the consequences. She did not even tell them the worst case scenario for it would scare them entirely. And that scenario was where a person may die.

The juniors, on the other hand, were shocked as expected. "What?!"

Who would not when a matter of life was on the line? At first, they sure took it lightly. But then again, it was not a light topic anymore.

Even Kronos thought so too. He was the one who started the mess, and no one know what might happen sooner or later.

Hence, stepping out from the Senior's back, Kronos looked at his classmates and asked. "Should I apologize?"

With that being said, they flinched as they should their heads abruptly. "What? No no no no. It's fine, Kronos."

"Yeah! You're not aware of this either, so there's no one to blame." Aeria replied with a flustered look on her face.

What's with Kronos taking the blame instead of silently watching like how he used to do? It was like before when he became talkative and more expressive.

The expressionless Kronos was looking at them with a worried face and asking if he should apologize. If it's acting since he's part of the drama club, then Kronos truly got them.

And to change the topic about it for Kronos to also not blame himself, Mikhail looked at the Seniors and asked them a question with a serious expression on his face. "But what do we need to do in order to prevent it from happening?"

Was it because he was hanging out with Sir Samael that he picked up the latter's behavior? He suddenly could be a serious fellow and all.

With that being said, Senior Steffi then replied with a motivated expression plastered on her face. "Simple. Don't be curious again and follow your other classmates! Remember that it does not work as a group. It could be two of the same situation, and the best way was to step back if you could feel that it's happening.

It was a good thing that their juniors were taking the subject seriously. Seeing them being sharp towards the Alpha's Domination means that they wanted to avoid the circumstances again. If it would continue in the future, then they could avoid the same fate the seniors had. Of course, not that they would stay still if something happened too.

"In any case, why did Kronos start to be expressive all of a sudden anyway?" Astian asked as he looked at Kronos, who was staring at him intently.

If it was the normal state wherein Kronos would show off a blank expression, Astian could not mind it. But with Kronos looking at him with some unknown feelings, Astian could not help but to be concerned.

Hearing this, the seniors looked at each other and then replied shortly after. "I am not sure about that."

It was beyond their knowledge as it never happened to them.

However, it seemed like one of the juniors knew what was happening to Kronos. "That. Uhh. I think it's the side effect of the elixir."

And it was Asisi along with Ajax, who hid himself at Yohan's chest. The herbology club!!

"Oh, so we have someone to blame!" Inoa replied in a joking manner. But because of her scowling face, Asisi and Ajax thought that she was being serious.

Hence, Ajax clung himself to Yohan with a terrified expression while Asisi hid behind Kronos while crying. "Noooo, don't attack me!!"

Seeing the lively juniors, the seniors laughed along as Senior Steffi gave them the last reminder. "In any case, you kids should be careful next time!"

When the juniors nodded, Senior Tati then looked at them and then shifted her gaze towards Astian and Kronos shortly after. "Now go back to your booths. Astian, Kronos, the rehearsal is starting. So let's go."

"Alright!" Everyone said in unison.

Shortly after that, they got back to their respective booths while Kronos and Astian followed the two seniors for the rehearsals. Ever since that incident, no one ever talked about things related to those who were involved. Things about the late Senior Jurgen, for example. Everyone acted like nothing happened and continued to perfect their performance.

Humans are designed to learn, understand, survive with the struggles given on their own plates, and lastly, be open and enjoy every moment you spend within your life. With that being said, along one’s journey, one should be able to encounter a myriad of events that they want to engrave in their memories. And with those memories, there would always be one particular event that one could never forget in their lifetime.

The next day, Astian and Kronos got out of the dorm earlier than the other kids as they were tasked to prepare for the stage and for themselves as well. It was a very busy day for everyone at the drama club that they had their breakfast and lunch at the backstage as they were not allowed to wander around. Not until they’re done performing.

And when the clock strikes at six, the memory that they would never forget starts when the in-charges raised the red clad curtain and presented the main characters of the story.

The audience was fixated by the characters as they played their role well. They knew when to feel agitated and when to smile genuinely. They delivered their speech like it was a natural thing to do so and their actions were precise.

Drawn to their acting, Kronos and Astian did not notice that it was soon their turn if not for a senior who was in charge of keeping the actors in check.

Hence, they both got into position. And as soon as the curtain was poured down for the next scene, Astian hurried to the center and was on his both knees while being surrounded by other people while Kronos was on the side, waiting for his cue to enter the stage.

As soon as the curtain rose once again, the spotlight was directed at Astian. And with that, everyone had a good look at him and had their own opinions. “Is that the female lead when she was cross-dressing as a boy?”

With that being said, another voice from the audience replied. “I thought that the actor would be a girl too.”

Even with the comments, Astian did not let it affect his acting and did his job well, while the other actors also continued to act like they were bullying Astian.

Nevertheless, like magic, the audience’s opinion was switched in just a second. Like a coin being flipped to the other side. “So what? He’s handsome and adorable and is good at acting!”

The other people were in a daze before replying to that person with a smile. “Yeah right!”

It seems like Senior Tati was on the move. Because they were of the same kind, the Senior might have assumed that Astian could hear their murmurs amidst the crowd as they naturally have great senses. Because of that, it may be a distraction from the play. That was why the Senior played her part so that her juniors could enjoy the stage.

Shortly after that, when the main bully character raised his hand as if he was about to smack Astian's face, Kronos' voice was then heard in the background. “Why don’t you pick someone your size?”

It was his cue to enter the stage. The next thing that would happen was that he would fight off the bullies and in the end, would win without a single scratch.

Seeing Kronos' appearance on stage, the crowd went wild as they looked at Kronos with dreamy eyes and shrieked. “Kyaaah! Is that the young male lead?!”

Who would not shriek when Kronos was too handsome with his school uniform? Moreover, his charisma skyrocketed because of the action scenes which they practiced a lot to look more realistic. The elixir also helped him as the side effects that come with it were making him play and act his role very well.

With that, the bullies were taken care of, and the next thing that he would do was to walk in the direction of Astian and offered him a hand.

'Thank you for your help!'

“Thank you for your help!” Astian thanked him with a warm smile as he accepted the hand that was offered.

Even if it was an act, Kronos still looked as if he was starstruck by Astian's smile that he merely stared at him for a moment with their hands connected with each other.

Seeing this, the crowd once again went wild as they thought of how flustered the male lead was when the female lead showed him a warm and soft expression that left the young male lead to be dumbstruck.

"What the heck is it just me, or do they have such a strong chemistry?!” One of the audience aggressively asked the person beside her.

The other felt like that too. And that time, it had nothing to do with Senior Tati, who was merely on the side, nibbling her lollipop and has done nothing with their comment. In short, it was a natural response that Kronos and Astian managed to achieve despite having a bad reputation.

“They are perfect together!” A group of students shouted.

The next scene was when Kronos offered Astian a piggy back as they were walking on the stage filled with muds and weeds.

'Ah! I can walk just fine. You can put me down!'

“Ah! I can walk just fine. You can put me down!” Astian replied with a flustered expression on his face.

With that being said, Kronos then replied with an authoritative tone of voice. “No. The ground is dirty and slippery. Besides, you sprained your ankle. So, I’ll take you to the infirmary.”

Both of them delivered their lines well, and every diction was on point. Their emotion was also one thing that they seriously swayed the whole audience.

While Astian was on Kronos's back and the latter was focused on walking, the script was for Astian to stare at Kronos all the time.

And by doing so, they were really giving their audience the satisfying yet short scene that they deserve to have. “Goodness! Look at our young male lead making a move to the young female lead!”

Their last scene made the crowd go wild as Kronos was tending Astian’s sprained ankle while they were intimately looking at each other.

Until the curtain drops for the next scene, Kronos and Astian were still staring at each other. And then, shortly after, they both laughed and exited the stage with Kronos patting Astian on the head.

Truly a memorable event that neither of them would dare to forget.
