Jojo’s P.O.V. The afternoon sun felt warm against my skin as I sat at the edge of the lake. The water reflected the clouds in rippling streaks of white, the stillness interrupted only by the occasional rustle of the trees or the distant call of a bird. Raven sat beside me, his arm resting against mine, the contact light but deliberate. Since our talk, Raven hadn't stopped touching me—his hand brushing my knee, his fingers ghosting over mine, his shoulder bumping into me as if to remind himself I was still here.
