I was surprised that instead of Monty, it was the driver Mang Theo who was on the other line.
Valerie: “Mang Theo? What’s wrong? Why do you have Monty’s phone?”
Mang Theo: “Ma’am Valerie, we’re at the emergency room of the hospital. Monty had an accident at school and we rushed him here.”
Valerie: “Is he okay?”
Mang Theo: “I’m not sure. He’s inside with his teacher. I called since I know you’re in the hospital too and I thought you should know.”
I dropped the call immediately and headed to the E.R. I tried to stay as calm as I could because I didn’t want the hospital employees to see me being frantic. I am so worried about my son but I am confident that my son will be in good hands because he’s in one of the premier hospitals in the country, and even in the continent.
