I was completely stunned and crushed. I felt like life had been stolen from my soul. I know she did not officially reject me, but she may as well have.
When her body went limp in my arms, I was terrified, I thought I had lost her and I could not wake her up. Holding her in my arms felt like that was exactly how it was supposed to be. Her tiny little body fit so perfectly with mine. I wish I could have stayed like that for the rest of my life.
When she woke up, I was overjoyed. The world felt like it was right, so why did she run from me? I begged her to stay with me, to never leave me, and then she did.
