Chapter 26: Brunch

3184 Words

(Ivy’s POV) The warm tropical sun beams through the window and wakes me up. My body surprisingly doesn’t hurt as bad today. I roll over and the bed is empty yet again. Why am I always waking up alone ? I think to myself. Just as the thought crosses my mind I hear the bathroom door open and Gabriel steps out with a towel around his waist. He doesn’t notice that I’m awake and his back is facing me as he rummages through his suit case. His scars are visible. I know he’s self conscious about them, after Oliver made him shift back in front of me and I saw them. They are all over his back and shoulders and he always has them covered. But I don’t think they take away from his looks at all. It actually makes me more attracted to him knowing that he went through all of that pain to save his mom.
