(Ivy’s POV) When I get to my house I see that no one is home yet. I rummage through my closet and find my duffel bag. I throw in a pair of sneakers and some socks and underwear as well as some T-shirts and a few pairs of leggings and one dress. I throw a sweater in the bag and collect some photos from around my room and put them in the bag. Lastly I grab my phone and laptop as well as the chargers and place them in the bag. I look around my childhood room and can’t help but feel sad to be leaving. I grew up here these were my parents but I know my dad could never accept me. I knew he would kill me if he found out about me. I write a small note ending things with Maximo. It hurts but I already have felt like me and him were growing apart and plus he is a hunter too he could never accept me as his girlfriend knowing that I am a wolf. I also added to the note saying goodbye to my parents and then I left it on my parents bed. After that I took one last look at my home and then I left out the back door and headed towards the old house at the edge of town. When I arrive at the house I peak my head inside. “Hello?” I whisper and get no response. Just then someone taps me from behind. It was Oscar. He was finally wearing clothes. Thank god. “Hey we have a car not to far from here let’s go.” He says, grabbing my bag from my shoulder to carry it for me. I have to admit Oscar is really a gentleman and he is really good looking. I couldn’t take my eyes off his muscular arms and I felt a little flushed thinking about his muscular body that I had seen earlier. A low growl erupts from his chest and he stops walking and looks back at me. “What are you thinking about?” He asks and thats when I notice his grey eyes are now black. I blush a little at the thoughts I was just thinking. “Nothing.” I giggle and walk ahead of him. He shakes his head and in a few minutes we are at the car he spoke about earlier. Oscar opens the door for me and I slide in. I see Jax in the drivers seat and another guy in the passenger seat looking badly wounded. “Oh my gosh is that guy okay?” I say pointing at the bloodied guy in the front seat. Oscar and Jax share a glance and then Jax starts the car and drives off. “That’s Jared he’s one of the pack warriors and the hunters have injured him badly. He’s been beaten badly and burned severely. We are praying to the moon goddess that the pack’s doctor can heal him.” Jax says. My face sinks into a frown. What have they burned him with? I ask carefully. “Silver Nitrate.” Oscar says. I ponder thoughts in my head for a moment and then I rummage through my duffel bags. “What are you looking for?” Oscar asks. “My mom was a healer, some people even called her a witch, shes always denied that though. But growing up she taught me a lot about herbs and elixirs. It just so happens that I threw a few elixirs I made in my bag before I left. And one of them is a healing potion. It can heal any wound or burn. As long as the person who’s injured’s heart is still beating.”Oscar shoots a shocked glance at Jax in the front seat. “Got it!” I shout and pull the small bottle out of my bag. “Pull over!” I yell. And Jax swerves the car to the side of the road and stops. “Guys get him in the back seat and lay him down.” I say and they hurry and oblige. Once he’s laid down. He opens his eyes a little and and is breathing heavily I can see the wound hole from where he was shot with an arrow and I can see the burns from the silver nitrate all over his chest stomach and arms. “P..please don’t let me die.” He says in a crackling voice. “You will not die on my watch.” I say and lift his head to help him drink the healing potion. Oscar and Jax watch closely in awe. I lay Jared’s head back and he closes his eyes. The potion immediately closes up his wounds and starts to heal his burns. “Wow you saved him!” Jax says and pulls me into an unexpected hug. His arms are big and muscular and his embrace feels warm. I am shocked by the tingles that erupt through my body at his hug and I pull away quickly. He must have felt it too because he raises his eyebrow at me questioningly and smirks a little. “Your one hell of a wolf Ivy.” Oscar interjects. I smile softly. “It was nothing It felt good to help how I can.” “Come on its time to bring you home to our pack.” He says. We all get back in the car and Jax drives off. About an hour into driving I can see two large mountains in the distance. “Those are the twin peak mountains.” Oscar says. “Our pack grounds are just beyond the mountains no humans go there there’s a cloaking spell some witches put on the land ages ago to protect our people.” Jax says. I stare in awe. “Thank you.” A deep voice says and Oscar and I look in the back seat. It’s Jared. “You saved my life.” He says trying to sit up. “No no , rest until we are there the potion and still working on you.” I say as I signal for him to lay back down. He does as I say and rests. A few moments later we are pulling up to the mountains. “We are about to pass the cloaking line.” Oscar says. I start to get a little nervous. “Aspen?” I call. “Yes?” “What if they don’t accept us into this pack?” “Don’t worry. I have a feeling this is where we are meant to be.” She says mysteriously. “But why?” I ask. “You’ll just have to figure that out yourself .” She says and then makes herself scarce in my mind. Oscar grips my hand softly caressing the top of it with his thumb. “Hey it’ll be okay you’ll fit right in! My mom will love to have you in the pack house. She always says there’s too many guys in there.” Oscar says. “The pack house?” I ask “Yeah your going to live in the pack house with us your a hero and your not just a regular wolf or an omega.” Jax says as he turns the car down a long path. I begin to see a bunch of small town houses lining each side of the road. “How do you know that I’m not a regular wolf?” I ask. Jax looks me over through the rear view mirror. “Because your wolf is black for starters. And it has emerald green eyes. I think you might be an alpha, or possibly a blessed wolf. Your wolfs speed was phenomenal even though that was your very first shift. There’s something special about you Ivy. I just know it.” Jax says with a smile A blessed wolf? Me? I think to myself. It’s impossible, I was adopted. My family didn’t want me for some reason. But why? Are they even still alive? I question. I’m lost in my thoughts for a little while when we pull up to a huge mansion. “Welcome to the Blue Moon Pack house!” Oscar shouts. I can see some people gathered in front of the building an older man and woman and another younger good looking man as well. As we get out of the car a few woman and men rush up with a wheelchair which I’m guessing is for Jared. They sit him in the chair and are about to wheel him away. “Wait!” He says. He reaches his hand out for me and I grasp it with my own. “Thank you I am eternally in your debt.” He kisses my hand and I smile softly at him. “I would do it again if given the chance.” I say softly. He nods and the people wheel him away. I look up to see Jax and Oscar discussing something with the older man and woman, the younger guy is listening also with his eyes on me. He smirks when he sees me staring at him. “The poor dear.” The older woman says and steps forward. “Hi my name is Vesper Wright I am the former Luna of this pack it is an honor to meet you dear. “My son Oscar and the Gamma Jaxon has informed us of your circumstances as well as the great service you have done for our pack. We would be delighted if you would join us.” She says in a soft voice. She has the same grey eyes as Oscar and I think the older man must be the former Alpha because he looks like Oscar as well. Vesper grasps my hands and pull me into a motherly hug. “You are welcome here we are like a family here. If you ever need anything you can come to me.” She says. I return the embrace realizing just how much i already miss my own mother. Well the mother I knew I was adopted so I don’t even know who my parents really are. “Thank you so much.” I say graciously. “No thank you sweet child. You saved my son and our gamma as well as Jared one of our top warriors.” “I am James wright the former alpha.” He says and shakes my hand. “I was just doing what I thought was right. Anyone would’ve done it.” I say. “Your wrong!” The younger guy that was staring at me says in a smug tone. “There are many wolves that wouldn’t have even thought to do what you did little bird.” He smirks as he steps closer to me. He sniffs the air around me and I become tense. “Ahh yes you smell of Sun flowers and Sage.” He says huskily. His blue eyes look down at me curiously. I get lost in his blue eyes for a moment. He furrows his brows and runs his fingers through his blonde hair. “So you must be the Alpha.” I say questioningly. He raises an eyebrow. He’s about to say something when a low growl sounds followed by laughter. I turn my head to see a strikingly handsome and very tall man with brown hair and hazel eyes strutting out of the building. He walks right up to me and lifts my face with his finger. “I am the Alpha!” He exclaims. “And who might you be?” “I am Ivy!” He smirks at me. “You’d better learn who your Alpha is Ivy or you’ll find yourself in trouble.” He snarks. “Well Mr Big bad Alpha I suggest you learn some manners Mrs. Wright seems like a lovely lady and I’m sure she didn’t raise you to be so disrespectful to a woman.” I scoff. Vesper and the guys burst into laughter and I can see him seething. He huffs and I step out of his way. “Come on little bird I’ll show you where you’ll be staying.” The blonde haired guy who’s name I haven’t learned yet says and pulls me into the house. As I’m walking away I can see the Alpha fuming. “Hey don’t worry about him he’s not always like that. He just upset about the hunters and the people we have lost. Oliver will come around.” He says. I lower my head and look at my feet “My names Gabriel I’m the Beta, the second in command of this pack if you will. And you’re Ivy the hunter’s daughter and savior of some of our pack members. You also ran away from home because your family doesn’t know that you’re a wolf. Oscar and Jax filled us in on everything.” He says softly. “Yeah I guess I’m an orphan now.” I shrug. We decend some flights of stairs and Gabe explains who lives on each floor after we pass the second and third floor we reach the fourth which is the floor that he and the Alpha share. The Gamma lives on the third floor with some other high ranking warriors as well as the pack doctor and their parents live on the second floor as well as some higher ranked omegas. Everyone else in the pack live in town houses on the pack grounds. “You’ll be staying here on our floor. My room is right here.” He points to the first door on the left. “And your room will be there.” He says pointing to the room furthest to the left. “That room at the end of the hall is Oliver’s.” He says. “It’s late you should try to get some rest it’s been a long night for you little birdie.” He says softly as he brushes my black hair out of my face. “Yeah you’re right, thanks Gabe I appreciate this.” I say gratefully. “Your very welcome hun. If you need anything there’s a phone in your room an omega can bring you anything you need.” He says. “And if you need anything from me I’m across the hall.” “Thank you.” I nod and he heads back down the stairs. I enter the room and drop my duffle bag on the floor and shut the door. The room is huge. A queens sized bed lays in the center with a big screen tv mounted on the wall and three doors off to the right. I try to open the first door but it’s locked. The second door was a huge walk in closet which was empty except for a few towels and robes that were brand new. The last door was a big bathroom with a walk in shower and an elegant claw foot tub. This place was huge. I decide to take a quick shower and when I got out I head to bed. I lay down and It doesn’t take long for me to drift off to sleep.
